Game Recap

Another back and forth game in the 1st Quarter that was played with good pace as the Sophomore duo of [player_tooltip player_id='3148411' first='Jaylon' last='Graber'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2797665' first='Braxton' last='Neidigh'] got off to fast starts for Barr-Reeve as they led Hauser 14-10 after 1. For the next 3 quarters, it turned into the [player_tooltip player_id='3045017' first='Kierson' last='Lengacher'] show as he scored 27 of his 29 points, and 18 in the second half to lead Barr-Reeve back to the Class 1A State Championship defeating Hauser 52-47. The 6'1” Junior Guard got going off the dribble able to get to the basket where he finished in a variety of different ways. Barr-Reeve pushed their second half lead to 31-22, but Hauser ended the 3rd Quarter on a 10-3 run to pull within 34-32. 6'6” Junior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2416697' first='Joel' last='Bechtel'] was active in the second half scoring 9 of his 11 points to go along with 4 rebounds. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2272841' first='Stryker' last='Gill'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2814297' first='Gavin' last='Keller'] tried to make it interesting in the last couple minutes, but were unable to complete the comeback. Gill led Hauser with 13 points while Keller followed in double figures with 10. Senior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2399376' first='Kameron' last='Blair'] was also productive finishing with 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.

6'3” Sophomore Wing [player_tooltip player_id='2797665' first='Braxton' last='Neidigh'] had an impactful first half helping Barr-Reeve get out to a lead scoring 8 of his 13 points in the first half. [player_tooltip player_id='3148411' first='Jaylon' last='Graber'] does all the little things that helps the Vikings win as he finished with 5 points, 7 rebounds, and 2assists in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='3045017' first='Kierson' last='Lengacher'] completely took over the game after the 1st Quarter. The 6'1” Junior Guard was brilliant initiating offense and exploiting any matchup that Hauser tried to throw at him. He's a shifty combo guard with a quick first step and showed the ability to finish around the basket against length. Once they started backing off to contain his drives, he was able to step into a few 3's and knock them down. Scoring 18 of his game high 29 points in the second half, he had one of the best performances I have seen all season. Defensively he was active all night getting deflections and steals in big moments with the game winding down.
