It was great to see Howard back in action. He returned a week or so ago after a serious shoulder injury sustained right around the new year. Howard was as dynamic as ever though while helping lead Pike to victory. The 6’1″ guard remains one of the best scoring guards and overall playmakers still on the board in Indiana’s Class of 2025.

If you were to rank the players in the state of Indiana who have yet to, at least publicly, get their first offer you would certainly have Howard very near the top of that list. The 6’1″ guard is a pure scorer which he proved by putting up 25 points in his second of two games on Sunday night at the Metro Indy Fall League. Howard creates his own shot from all three levels and is a very god shooter off of the dribble. He started the second half with three three-point shots and then used his quickness to drive it to the rim. Scholarship worthy player.

A standout guard for Progeny on the UA Rise circuit, Howard has really come on strong this spring after a good junior season. He averaged 15.1 points and 3.0 assists per game at Pike High School and has proven himself as one of the more dynamic playmakers in Indiana’s Class of 2025 this spring. The 6’1″ guard is lightening quick with the ball in his hands, plays off of ballscreens well, and can create his own shot from any scoring level. Whether it is a deep three behind the ballscreen, a quick pull-up in the mid-range, or a crafty finish against size, Howard is always finding ways to put the ball in the basket. It will be interesting to see where his recruitment goes this summer, but he is definitely a scholarship caliber player.
