The Bank of O’Fallon Shootout is set for this weekend!  Like every year it has a great field of teams and prospects!  Here is your look at the players and prospects in the event along with the schedule of games.

Columbia is a threat for the 2A crown this season.  They have a loaded roster led by Bellarmine commit Sam Donald Sam Donald Sam Donald 6'8" | PF Columbia | 2025 State IL .  Versatile forward that can play inside and out.  Super skilled wing with his ability to drain feathery shots off the catch or pulling up.  Moves well without the ball getting open.  Passes and rebounds at a good clip from his wing spot.  Among the top seniors in southern Illinois.  Eddie Smajic Eddie Smajic Eddie Smajic 6'5" | SG Columbia | 2026 State IL is a transfer from across the river that brings big time scoring pop to this squad.  Explosive scoring threat that is a plus shot maker from three with positional size.  Tracking as a scholarship prospect at this stage.  Brody Landgraf Brody Landgraf 6'5" | PF Columbia | 2026 State IL is a power forward that brings skill and size up front for Columbia.  He is among the top baseball prospects in the state’s junior class.  River Randall has emerged as a nice secondary offensive option for this squad during his senior year.

Host O’Fallon has a team this year with several intriguing prospects.  None of them are higher profile than junior Ben Akoro Ben Akoro Ben Akoro 6'8" | SF O'Fallon | 2026 State IL who is among the top 10 2026 players in the Prep Hoops Illinois rankings.  The transfer from Principia has all the tools of a legit D1 prospect at the next level.  He brings position versatility playing point-forward, small forward, and power forward.  High level passer that has an excellent feel for the game making those around him better.  Also has a feathery jumper that is automatic in the mid-range and has shown growth extending to three.  All the tools to be a plus defender at the next level.  Nathaniel Smith Nathaniel Smith Nathaniel Smith 6'5" | SF/SG O'Fallon | 2025 State IL provides an impactful senior two way wing that can defend at a high level along with knock down shots.  Good in transition as well.  Brenton Hunter Brenton Hunter Brenton Hunter 6'0" | SG O'Fallon | 2026 State IL is a rock-solid combo guard that brings secondary ball handling and scoring to this team.  Intrigued with Sutton Massey Sutton Massey Sutton Massey 6'4" | SG O'Fallon | 2027 State IL who is an emerging sophomore talent.  Plus shooter that is a good athlete with toughness.  A player that has emerged this season has been Jayden Dancy Jayden Dancy Jayden Dancy 6'2" | SG O'Fallon | 2026 State IL posting solid numbers as a junior.

Saturday

O’Fallon vs Vianney

Vianney has a star in Southern Illinois commit Luke Walsh Luke Walsh Luke Walsh 6'2" | SG Vianney | 2025 State #374 Nation MO .  The top 10 senior in Missouri is a flat-out bucket getter!  He is an exceptional three point shooter that can pour them in at a high rate.  Shoots it well both off the bounce and catch.  You have to like how well he moves off the ball to get open.  More than just a shooter he can play both on and off the ball where he works well around ball screens making sound decisions with the rock as a passer and scorer.  Really nice pick up for the Salukis.  Walsh is complimented well on the perimeter with fellow guards in junior Ben Karsten Ben Karsten Ben Karsten 6'2" | SG Vianney | 2026 State MO and sophomore Brock Long Brock Long Brock Long 6'1" | PG Vianney | 2027 State MO .  Keep an eye out for 2028 7-foot freshman Djan Barry!

O’Fallon – See Above

Whitney Young vs Webster Groves

The Dolphins have two of the best players in the state which is a great place to start.  Senior forward Antonio Munoz Antonio Munoz Antonio Munoz 6'6" | PF Whitney Young | 2025 State #194 Nation IL is a high-motor forward that plays above the rim with monster jams.  Excels in transition, finishing out of the dunker spot, and putting it on the deck.  His defense is another major strength with his versatility being able to defend multiple positions along with using his length getting steals and blocks.  Marquis Clark Marquis Clark Marquis Clark 6'1" | PG Whitney Young | 2026 State #137 Nation IL is the top guard in the junior class in Illinois.  He is an excellent ball handler that can get where he wants on the floor with slick handles.  What makes him a special prospect is his creative layup finishes around the hoop with nifty conversions.  His overall floor game is really coming along quickly.  Senior guard Damajay Richardson Damajay Richardson Damajay Richardson 5'11" | PG Whitney Young | 2025 State IL brings a toughness to their squad with his defense, passing, and shot making from three.  Alijah Little Alijah Little Alijah Little 6'4" | SG Plainfield East | 2026 State IL and Gabe Aragon Gabe Aragon Gabe Aragon 6'0" | SG Whitney Young | 2025 State IL are perimeter shot makers that spread the floor.  Also keep an eye on sophomore guard Zaire Green Zaire Green Zaire Green 6'2" | PG Whitney Young | 2027 State IL who is emerging in the 2027 class.

Webster Groves has the #1 sophomore in the state of Missouri Scottie Adkinson Scottie Adkinson Scottie Adkinson 6'3" | SG Webster Groves | 2027 State MO who is also a top 25 talent nationally.  He is coming off a summer where he was one of the best scorers at the 15U level in the Nike EYBL.  The southpaw who is originally from southern Illinois can flat out put the ball in the hoop in every way imaginable.  Tight handles and a burst off the bounce getting into the paint.  Also has a sweet looking shot from the perimeter which he can hit pulling up or off the catch.  This group also features one of the best freshman in the Missouri 2028 class in 6’6” wing Miles Simpson Miles Simpson Miles Simpson 6'5" | SG Webster Groves | 2028 State #19 Nation MO who is already garnering attention from colleges early in the process.  Sophomore guard Quincy Wilson can really score it.  Others to monitor on Webster Groves include seniors in the Prep Hoops Missouri rankings like Carl Whitehead Jr Carl Whitehead Jr Carl Whitehead Jr 6'1" | SG Webster Groves | 2025 State MO and Brady Schuettpelz Brady Schuettpelz Brady Schuettpelz 6'5" | SF Webster Groves | 2025 State MO . 

Peoria Manual vs Fishers

After a great showing last year Fishers returns to the shootout as defending state champions in Indiana.  This squad has four seniors ranked in the top 50 of the state by Prep Hoops Indiana led by top 10 Miami (OH) commit Justin Kirby.  The athletic shooting guard had a breakout summer boosting his stock in a major way.  Elite level athlete that impacts on both ends of the floor.  Other top seniors include JonAnthony Hall (Stanford football commit), Nathan Baker, and Millen McCartney.  While they have veteran leadership the true stars of this team are their sophomore backcourt duo of Cooper Zachary and Jason Gardner who are each top 5 players in the Indiana 2027 class.  Each averaged 7 points a game as freshman and are even better as sophomores.  Gardner is such an explosive guard off the bounce with his speed and finishing ability in the paint.  Already holds multiple high-major offers.  Zachary has such an advanced feel for the game as a ball handler, passer, and excellent perimeter shooter.

Peoria Manual has a star in Bradley commit Dietrich Richardson Dietrich Richardson Dietrich Richardson 6'6" | PG Peoria Manual | 2025 State #177 Nation IL .  The long and lanky combo guard has a ton of upside with his smooth offensive game.  He is effective playing both on and off the ball while being able to score off the bounce.  His athleticism and body control around the rim allow him to finish around defenders.  Burst on his first step to the rim and is improving as a shooter both off the bounce and catch.  He has a chance to be a plus defender with his size for position, length, and athleticism.  Junior Joshua Humbles Joshua Humbles Joshua Humbles 6'1" | SG Peoria Manual | 2026 State IL is a strong and athletic wing that loves to play in transition.  Can also get after it defensively and rebounds well.  Tony Bradford Tony Bradford Tony Bradford 6'2" | PG Peoria Manual | 2026 State IL is another athletic junior that can play on or off the ball as a good open court playmaker and defender.  Up front Amare Breedlove Amare Breedlove 6'5" | PF Peoria Manual | 2025 State IL is a bouncy power forward that is an energy big man scoring around the hoop along with rebounding and blocking shots.  Senior guard Daniel Finley Daniel Finley 6'0" | PG Peoria Manual | 2025 IL is a blur with the speed he plays with in the open floor.  Terrance Paige is a tough glue guy to watch out for who contributes on the boards and scoring inside.

Bolingbrook vs Vashon

The Bolingbrook Raiders return back to the shootout where Coach Brost has brought some tremendous teams over the years.  This is as talented as any of them.  They are led by sophomore sensation Davion Thompson Davion Thompson Davion Thompson 6'2" | SG Bolingbrook | 2027 MO who is one of the best 2027 prospects not only in Illinois, but a nationally ranked top 25 player.  The shooting guard is an advanced scorer that is unguardable scoring from all three levels with equal effectiveness.  Up front they have a monster double double big man in JT Pettigrew JT Pettigrew JT Pettigrew 6'8" | C Bolingbrook | 2025 State IL .  The Valpo commit is a powerful low post scorer that rebounds at a high rate as one of the best centers in the senior class.  He has quite another talented prospect next to him in top 20 junior Jayden Madden Jayden Madden Jayden Madden 6'10" | C Bolingbrook | 2026 State IL who has all the tools to be a D1 player with his athleticism, length, skill, and rim protection.  In the backcourt Trey Brost Trey Brost Trey Brost 5'10" | PG Bolingbrook | 2026 State IL is a tough combo guard that can shoot it from deep!  Kendall Cutler Kendall Cutler 6'3" | SG Bolingbrook | 2025 State IL is a perfect glue guy for this group as a three and D wing.  Freshman guard Brady Pettigrew Brady Pettigrew Brady Pettigrew 6'3" | SG Bolingbrook | 2028 State #23 Nation IL is among the elite prospects in the Illinois 2028 class with his size for position and versatility on the perimeter.

Vashon has a new head coach in alum Jimmy McKinney Sr who also starred at Mizzou.  They are loaded with talent as usual.  Tons of athletic guards on this team starting with Missouri State commit Trey Williams Trey Williams Trey Williams 6'0" | PG Loyola Academy | 2026 State IL .  He is a naturally gifted scoring combo that has unlimited range on his three point shot to well beyond the college line.  Explosive scorer is one of the best bucket getters in the St. Louis area.  Fellow senior D1 commit Dehrio McCaskill Dehrio McCaskill Dehrio McCaskill 6'4" | SG Vashon | 2025 State MO is such a fun player to watch especially when he is getting out in the open floor throwing down dunks.  He is headed to SIU-Edwardsville.  Another D1 talent on this team is Terron Garrett Terron Garrett Terron Garrett 6'5" | SG Vashon | 2025 State MO as the strong and athletic wing has a world of potential on both ends of the floor.  Their young prospect to watch is 2027 guard Jimmy McKinney Jr. Jimmy McKinney Jr. 6'2" | SG Vashon | 2027 State MO   This combo guard can play both on and off the ball with scoring pop from all three levels.  The top 10 sophomore in Missouri already holds multiple high-major offers.
