About Miles
Expert Analysis
Max Wagner | Prep Hoops Scout
Miles is a high flyer in the 2029 class who was putting on a show with Brad Beal Elite 16u. In one game he threw down a windmill dunk out in the open floor, and all weekend long he was a highlight play waiting to happen. Quick first step helps him beat opposing wings off the dribble, and he covers so much ground off a single dribble with his long stride. Miles has the ability to euro-step to avoid shot blockers, or can just glide straight to the rim where he has no problem finishing over the top of size. Just has an effortless look to his game.

Surrounded by a roster full of talent and college prospects, Simpson isn’t posting eye-popping numbers for The Villages, but his talent and long-term potential are obvious. The sophomore possesses high-level size, length, and athleticism to go along with an advanced offensive skill set. A pair of plays on Saturday—a strong catch-and-finish in transition and a polished midrange move for a score—were more than enough to confirm that Simpson projects as one of the nation’s top prospects in the 2028 class.

Simpson is a freshman that absolutely has superstar potential! Long and lanky small forward that handles it with ease on the perimeter and in transition. Played above the rim on a lob off an out of bounds, got on the offensive glass, and was a force on the glass on both ends snatching rebounds. Such a smooth overall player that shows potential as a shot maker from deep. He had 17 points.
