Garcia has taken advantage of every opportunity this offseason. The left-handed wing uses his size well, attacks the paint with confidence, and finishes effectively around the basket. He has shown steady perimeter touch while continuing to grow into his frame. The combination of length, athleticism, and scoring ability gives him plenty of long-term upside.

Part of a very talented team at The Villages, the rising sophomore averaged over 15 points per game during a 3-1 weekend for the Buffaloes. The lefty wing has positional size and is effective getting into the paint and finishing at the rim. He is a solid shot maker with plenty of upside.

Smooth lefty who moved with an ease that reminds me of some of the great lefty guards that have starred in college recently. As a rising sophomore, he’s got time to marinate, but he was already impressive breaking down the defense and getting to the rim with effortless zeal. A superior passer with elite court vision, he projects as a PG, but there was clear wing skill on display. Very heady defender, sees passing lanes, and at 6-5 he can guard up to three spots on the floor for you. Kennesaw St and FAMU offered off the weekend, but he has the look to me that he could develop into a high major prospect.

Garcia is a lengthy forward with a ton of potential. At 6’5 as a freshman, he plays above the rim and seems to have multiple highlight dunks every game. The lefty has a great feel for the game and knows when to take over as a scorer. Garcia is already one of the top freshmen in the state and will be a major name to watch over the next few years.

15p 6r 1s 1b vs MLE
-Loved his all-around impact in the championship game against MLE as a wing prospect with a ton of versatility. The lefty shooter knocked down an early 3 then used that gravity to start attacking the rim, showing the ability to both score in the paint or pass out of double teams. Garcia had a nice spin move between the double to create space to finish with the left off the window through the contact, took a hop step to land on two and hit the floater, double-clutched a layup alley oop finish, and threw down an emphatic 2-handed dunk off the BLOB set to put the nail in the coffin. Our scouts came away impressed with his willingness to do the dirty work defensively whether it was showing hard on ball screens to send guards to the sideline or rotating to contest shots at the rim.
