The LSU signee finished with 15 points in Saturday night’s win for The Villages, turning in one of his most complete performances of the season. The senior showed the ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc, score at the rim, and draw contact to get to the free-throw line. He made sound decisions with the ball and also made his presence felt on the defensive end, delivering a well-rounded effort in the victory.

. At 6’7” with a grown-man frame and a nonstop motor, he was a nightmare for opposing ball handlers. Guarded 1 through 5 with ease, using his length, strength, and footwork to shut down drives and switch across the floor.
Offensively, he made just as much of an impact. Scored it on all three levels — knocking down threes, hitting midrange shots, and finishing violent downhill attacks at the rim. In transition, he was a problem whether he had the ball or not — a constant lob threat who forced defenses to account for him at all times. Showed he can attack off the dribble with a solid handle and didn’t shy away from contact.
Brutus plays with edge, explosiveness, and skill — a high-level wing prospect with real two-way value.

New offer: Maryland
Brutus is a physical mismatch with skill to match. He’s strong, agile and has a good understanding of how to leverage size and footwork to his advantage. Whether it’s on the block or facing up, he’s a problem.

Brutus battled through foul trouble in the game, but it was easy to see what all the fuss is about when it comes to him and his game. His size, strength and skill with the ball is an instant mismatch. I actually think that it will continue to be at the next level as well. The best part is that he’s intelligent and well versed enough in the game of basketball that he knows how to use his matchups. Brutus has very soft feet and excellent footwork, which really helps him go to the rim and be a north-south player. He showed strong hands, catching a pass in traffic and earning an and 1. Brutus cut baseline, caught the ball and finished with a dunk. Defensively he used his length to close out high on shooters.

is a 6’5”, 180 lb forward for the Rebels. He’s springy and active on the glass for his team. If Brutus is even remotely in the vicinity of the ball, and you don’t have a body on him, he will secure that board through traffic and any other disruptions. As the second highest rebounder on the team for the circuit this year, Brutus has a gravity about him that always seems to land the ball in his hands. He will sky above a pack and frequently be the player who comes down with the ball through sheer force of will and then he’s zipping down the court posting up his defender or floating to the wings to get the ball back and begin to operate.

Herly Brutus, a 6’7” wing/guard, embodies the future of the game. A high octane player who pushes the pace and knows how to run a team, while having visibility over his defenders. He was asked to do a lot in Memphis and even though it may not have always shown on the box score, his impact for the Rebels was immeasurable. Brutus was flying around the court on the defensive end and able to lead the break for his teammates as they filled their lanes on the wings. Keep a keen eye on Brutus as his game continues to blossom this year on the circuit because he will definitely be climbing up boards sooner rather than later.

may be the breakout star in Florida’s 2026 class. The 6’7 guard pops on film and has undeniable physical traits. He’s a do-it-all player who can rebound, defend, make plays for others, and has an improving scoring game. He can create offense for himself on drives and midrange jumpers.

2023-2024 Stats: 14.7 PPG, 10.1 RPG, 7.1 APG & 3.7 SPGrnThe 6-5 sophomore forward plays with a lot of length and toughness on both ends of the floor. He is a respectable and highly-skilled three-level scoring threat along with a solid driver and finisher at the front of the rim. He does a great job at finding his teammates while using his court vision and ball-handling skills. Brutus is also a solid defender where he can guard multiple positions whether it’s challenging perimeter shooters or defending the rim. Brutus also has a strong knack when it comes to jumping the passing lanes as he makes tips which can cause him to get buckets on the other end. He currently holds an offer from Jacksonville University, but don’t expect that to be his last offer as he’s climbing the ladder in the prospect rankings for the sophomore class.
