-Has really impressed our scouts this month as one of the most important players--if not THE most important player-- for a very good Tech Prep team. Bumpass serves as a great connector from the perimeter that is always looking to find the open man in the halfcourt. Bumpass has been much more assertive at the offensive end of the floor as a scorer too, scoring in a variety of ways in this win over T Rose. Bumpass scored on a great flash to the rim to time an And1 putback through the contact, drove straight down the middle of the defense for a floater off glass, hit a running lefty off glass past a big, and hit two finger rolls after blowing past his matchup from the perimeter. Figures to be a stockriser in this week's 2025 rankings update!

-Thought he did a great job of guarding up several positions in his matchup with Ward on the low block. Smith didn't make anything easy for the top-50 senior while impacting the game at the offensive end as a distributor in the 1H and a scorer in the 2H. Loved the vision on a 1-handed push pass diagonally across the paint to a cutter who laid the ball up off glass and executed a beautiful crosscourt skip pass to the shooter off a baseline drive later in the 2Q. Smith showed the full range at the offensive end of the floor in the 2H: scoring off a coast to coast drive to the rim, hit a tough contested pull-up 2 over two defenders, scored on a high pickup lay in transition, scored another C2C bucket off a long rebound late in the game to tie it up, and hit a beautiful baseline rip and go to land a ferocious 1-handed dunk to cut the Largo lead to 3 with 20 seconds left in the contest. Loved the moxy and competitive streak shown from Smith throughout the game at both ends of the floor as the fearless leader of his team.

-Had a few good looks at the basket rim out that would've landed him close to 20 points on the night but Waheed still found ways to impact the game. An underrated scoring option from the top of the key, Waheed operated well in space to V cut into a C+S wing 3 off the fade, hit a backdoor cut for the extension finger roll off glass, and hit his defender with a well-executed jab to get them off balance and get all the way to the rim to score.

-Haskins showed his value in this one by exhibiting toughness in the paint to rebound and score through contact. The Hampton commit hit a beautiful pump fake to take advantage of a hard closeout before crossing over and getting to the rim for the And1 layup, hit a pretty pull-up 2 in the paint off the dribble, and scored a transition lay off of 2 feet off glass. Liked his intensity from him throughout the game in this one, not settling for jumpers even though they were falling to get his team the best possible look at the basket. Showed great timing and improved defensive awareness to block 2 shots from behind to maintain a 2-possession lead for his team down the stretch of their road win.

-Even on a relatively quiet scoring night, Ward's rebounding effort was loud and he did a great job of play-making for his teammates as a passing hub from the low block and high post. Love the growth that we've seen from him over the years to not force the action in the halfcourt, taking care of the rock in a game where possessions really mattered. Ward took advantage of his size to read double teams before they arrived to drop it off to cutters or find open C+S targets on the perimeter. His physical box-outs on the low block allowed him to extend several possessions for a Largo team that needed extra looks at the rim to score against a swarming City College defense.

-Dixon's progression as a dependable shot-maker from 18' has proven crucial to Largo's success this season, alleviating the pressure on his guards while also making it difficult for opponents to double the post. Loved the footwork on a step through pivot to the rim after getting his defender in the air with the upfake and he scored the next possession on a well-timed face cut to the rim for an easy touch shot in front of the rim. His attention to detail defensively has improved and he's doing a better job of being up on ball screens to contain the guard long enough for his teamate to fight over the screen.

-Love that Hemann doesn't force the action and is productive in his role as a shooter with good size that has really picked it up at the defensive end of the floor. Hemann started it off with a beautiful baseline pull-up after swiping through to attack a hard closeout. He then knocked down a big wing 3 off the kickout and scored a putback off glass to make it a double digit game down the stretch. Loved the fight shown to not only make a recovery block from the help side but to re-position and block the next shot without fouling a few moments later.

-Even though I wouldn't call Lincoln a scorer per se, he comes up with some timely baskets each time his team seems to be going through an offensive drought. Lincoln plays chess on his drives to the paint, using a hop step to land two feet in the paint to force rotations before finding open teammates on the perimeter. The defensive IQ shines through when he is able to time his jabs at the basketball while playing from behind in the low post but also does a good job of reading the ballhandler's eyes to jump passing lanes to ignite the fastbreak. His ability to make plays for others on the ball or as a connector from the wing makes him an invaluable piece for an O'Connell team that depends on ball movement to score this season.
