-Even on a relatively quiet scoring night, Ward’s rebounding effort was loud and he did a great job of play-making for his teammates as a passing hub from the low block and high post. Love the growth that we’ve seen from him over the years to not force the action in the halfcourt, taking care of the rock in a game where possessions really mattered. Ward took advantage of his size to read double teams before they arrived to drop it off to cutters or find open C+S targets on the perimeter. His physical box-outs on the low block allowed him to extend several possessions for a Largo team that needed extra looks at the rim to score against a swarming City College defense.

, and this game did not disappoint. Cam Ward got the better of this matchup today and was great from start to finish. Cam dominated the glass on offense and had some great plays down the stretch to give Largo a 1 point win. Cam did a great job getting to the rim and finished a few and 1s. He lived at the line and finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

A 32-point outburst from the Michigan State commit turned many heads out at the Wicomico. Pieced together a very efficient scoring game, proving he could score from all three levels without much resistance. Liked the way he showed his versatility throughout Largo’s win. Protected the rim well and as usual, pulled down a lot of rebounds.

I’ve scouted Cam Ward numerous times and his passion and competitive nature seems to always shine. It’s truly one of my favorite qualities of his. Even in a showcase setting, there was no drop off in his will to compete and win as Ward helped guide his team to win the championship and earn co-MVP honors.
Ward excelled slashing to the rim for below and above the rim finishes in the half court and transition. Additionally, he mixed in jumpers from beyond the arc and the midrange.
Ward’s defensive prowess was felt in moments throughout multiples games, but none bigger in the championship with the game on the line. In sudden death overtime, Ward produced the game winning sequence with a block then a quick outlet pass to assist the game winning dunk.

Cam Ward was solid in every facet all day. He was outstanding early in the day, scoring from all over the court. He showed off his skill set as a shooter, and he had a handful of dunks. Cam didn’t have the same offensive impact in the final, but he still was highly impactful and was a massive reason his team won. Cam blocked a GW layup attempt and subsequently had the outlet pass leading to the GW dunk. Cam had a terrific showing and was, without a doubt, one of the best players on the day, and it was fitting that he was the one positively impacting the last action of the day.

The top prospect in Maryland’s Class of 2025, Ward showed off his elite athleticism for Team Durant on Saturday. Ward put up 21 points and 11 rebounds in their victory Team United and then went off for 32 points on 12-15 shooting in a comeback win over Indy Heat . He is a 6’6″ two-way wing that lives above the rim, in transition, and by attacking the rim downhill off of the bounce. So athletic!
