Turner was really impressive as an aggressive slasher in the halfcourt and out in transition. The long and lean lefty finished through contact on a couple of occasions and showed his smooth footwork and craft on a euro offhand finish vs SOS Elite. He couldn’t find consistency with his jumper, but show confidence with it and buried a c/s corner 3 vs 434 Select. Turner’s defensive activity was notable. He came up with a number of deflections and steals including converting one to an easy layup. There is real two-way upside with Turner.

-Turner has carved out a nice starting role within Largo’s rotation as a ball-hawking 2-way guard that also has really active hands off the ball. Turner started things off with an above the break C+S 3, rotated quickly to come up with help side block, was a scrappy “first to the floor” guard diving to collect 50/50 balls for his team, and showed dynamic speed in the open court in transition. His moxie to bang in the post defensively against taller opponents to come away with an emphatic on-ball block and swipe away several shot attempts to force the turnover really stood out throughout the contest. It’s good to see a young prospect setting the tone for his team at the defensive end of the floor.

has a rare blend of athleticism and IQ already at an early stage in his career. Caught my eye during the summer with Largo as a solid contributor who does the little things that lead to wins. Complimented Jalen and Toby very well on the floor due to his skills to adapt to any role on the floor. De’Chae can shoot the ball from three while defending and rebounding consistently. Has the potential to really expand his game while continuing to execute as a dependable 3&D wing. Plays well on the wing and can occasionally take his man at the basket and finish at the rim. Can get up for a big slam on the break, sneaky athleticism. Name to watch in the 2028 class, especially pertaining to the prestigious Largo High.

-Loved the athleticism and activity from Turner in this one. With good positional size, Turner is an extraordinary leaper and uses that vertical pop to really impact the game as a rebounder despite a pretty thin frame. Turner can shoot, pass, dribble, and guard at a pretty high level for a prospect this young and seems to be a guy that both his teammates and coaches love to have around. No defensive assignment or role is too small for him and he attacks his opponent with consistency to win advantages for his team throughout the game. Very interested to see if he becomes a 3+D guard or wing, or if he develops into more of a scoring guard.
