had another year of dominant play for South Lakes. Jordan was player of the year in class 6 and won another state title. Jordan dominated games on both ends and even with him being the most talented guy on the floor game in and game out, he still plays extremely hard. Jordan is an elite shooter and also uses his length to get points in the paint with his back to the basket or facing up. The Michigan State commit has the type of skillset where he will fit seamlessly at the next level, and he closed his high school career with his second straight state title.

put together another masterclass in a state title game to close out his high school career. The future Michigan State Spartan had a handful of aggressive drives, and he very seldom settled for shots. Jordan got to the line, and he was dominant defensively. Jordan is an elite defender with terrific instincts, effort, and length. I think something that will transfer over to the next level will be what Jordan does on that side of the ball. He finished with 32 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 blocks.

There was a point in the third quarter when South Lakes was struggling to score, and Hayfield cut a halftime lead of 10 to 3. Jordan did a good job attacking the rim, and his getting to the line helped South Lakes get a grip back on the game. This game was physical and low-scoring, so even though Jordan’s 19 points were not anything special of his standard, he showed up in big spots. Jordan made a few nice passes off of his drives, and he was excellent on defense with a few blocks.

South Lakes two district losses this year were to Westfield, and they met them again in the Regional Final. In the district final, Westfield held

in check, and he wasn’t a huge factor in the game. On Friday, it was very different. Jordan dominated this game on all levels, and Westfield had no answer for him. Jordan is one of the best players in the state, but doing this against an outstanding Westfield team that already beat you twice impressed me. He had 34 points.

missed a few shots that you usually see go down for him today, but I still think he lived up to the billing in the matchup. Jordan still knocked down a couple of threes, and I felt like he was terrific on the defensive end. He had some nice plays down the stretch of this game and finished with 19 points.

Jordan was an all-around assassin for South Lakes in both his performances. He rebounded over the opposition consistently with timing and length, which he also used to shoot over the defense. Extremely efficient pullup game in the midrange off the dribble or a dribble-breakdown. He made some very nice drives to the rim, maneuvering right around the defense with a smooth euro or a strong controlled take that switched in pace. Shot the ball well from around the floor. Had some strong finishes at the rim as well. Quite the couple games for Scott at the Gov Challenge

took over this game in the paint. He had some nice defensive plays and did great work out the post. Jordan was great on the offensive glass and was a significant reason South Lakes pulled away. Jordan finished with 35.

South Lakes hosted Woodson in a game that I was interested in seeing. South Lakes lost a lot of production, and I felt Woodson was a great test for South Lakes fresh off their state title-winning season.

completely dominated this game for South Lakes from start to finish. Jordan hit shot after shot from 3 early in the game, and he showed off some serious range. This was about as aggressive as I’ve seen Jordan in terms of him looking for his shot from start to finish. Jordan dominated in the paint as well, grabbing several offensive rebounds. He scored at all three levels and ended with 32 points.

22p 6r 2b 1a 1s vs Atlanta XPress
Scott got out to blazing start in a matchup with Xpress, knocking down five 3s in the 1Q to push his team to an early lead. As the game progressed he showed flashes of his ability to score and distribute from the low block, timing his cuts well on a big-to-big screen that VA Elite runs to give him an easy duck-in. His movement 3 at the end of regulation hit nothing but net to push the game into overtime, showing the awareness to pump fake to get his defender in the air. His game is rounding out well on both ends of the floor as he shows flashes of scoring from all 3 levels with an improved physique and better defense.Access all of Prep Hoops
