Remaining on the top of the rankings is Bongen, who has continued to develop as an elite prospect during his sophomore season. One of the state's top athletes in any sport, the wing can fly to the hoop and finish above the rim but also has the smoothness on his jumper to do damage from long range. The system at Jesuit spreads things out among several players, but Bongen's numbers are solid and his athletic potential remains through the roof.

The move over to Tualatin from West Linn has been seamless for Vialva, who has come alongside [player_tooltip player_id='1582973' first='Jemai' last='Lake'] to form what arguably is the state's top backcourt tandem. Whether he has the ball in his hands or not, the sophomore guard has been lethal creating for himself and others. His mid-range pull-up is arguably one of the best in the entire state and defensively, he may get after it more than anyone else in the class.

Coming off a brilliant debut as a freshman, Gaines came into the season bigger and stronger and an argument could be made that #3 may be too low for him. The sophomore point guard ranks as one of 6A's top scorers and assist men, as he simply makes things happen on the offensive end with the ball in his hands. His added strength has allowed him to power past defenders to the hoop and he's one of the best we've seen in a while in drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. A brilliant passer, he's very difficult to stop in transition.

After playing a support role last season, Thompson has ascended into the starting lineup with no problem. The sophomore has settled in nicely into the point guard spot, and has shown good balance this season with setting the table for others while also scoring on his own. He's the team's third-leading scorer, deferring to seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1379047' first='Keenan' last='Reckamp'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1496193' first='Alonzo' last='Hoff'], and is one of the Skyhawks' most dangerous three-point shooters.

The biggest move into the top five is from Khyungra, a result of what's been a spectacular season so far from the shifty point guard. The sophomore has emerged as one of 5A's top scorers as he's been practically impossible to contain off the dribble going to the basket and using his diverse layup package to finish. He's also been able to get hot from the perimeter at times, making him unstoppable at times. His quickness has also been evident on the defensive end as his motor and quick hands constantly create turnovers.
