The 2026 class is LOADED with Division 1 talent, with the top 10 all holding HM offers and/or interest already as they step into bigger roles for their respective programs. We wanted to spend some time articulating the skills that they bring to the table, standout performances, and the "why" behind a few of them moving up. Let's dig in!

-Samuels remains our #1 in the class with consistent performances in both scoring and rebounding for a Mustangs group that has rebounded nicely from a slow start to the year to finish 8-1 in their last 9 games. Samuels' attention to detail at the defensive end of the floor has improved and his rotations as a help side shot blocker have stood out as a particular area of growth. His 3-level scoring ability stands out, as his midpost scoring ability and touch around the basket have improved throughout this season.

-A smooth scoring point guard that sets the pace for a rolling PGCA team, Mundey consistently scores at least 20 in every game we see despite facing double and sometimes triple teams. His balance and the spring from his legs on perimeter jumpshots has made the shooting a more consistent weapon but his ability to get to the rim and the FT line results in very consistent offensive performances from his team. As his team continues to gel and work in some new pieces, we'd like to see him take advantage of his scoring gravity to create easy looks for teammates off the bounce.

-Huan's impact at both ends is very clear and has been consistent for Prep this season. A rim-running athlete that has caught several poster dunks already, Huan uses that athleticism to pull down rebounds in traffic and contest shots around the basket. His touch around the rim and on C+S jumpers from the elbows continues to improve as he has adjusted nicely to the fast-paced, aggressive style of play in the DMV.

-Brown breaks into the top 5 as the head of the snake at Archbishop Carroll in the WCAC. A dynamic, flashy play-maker that can create space to get up a shot from virtually anywhere on the floor-- Brown is mixing in more drives to the rim and is becoming more active on the glass. Despite what some may say about his ball-dominant style of play, he is actively looking to find his bigs with darts off of either hand to create easy scoring opportunities around the basket-- the finishing percentage and court awareness just isn't there yet for them to convert that into points. As the Lions mix in some new freshmen and transfer weapons into the offense, I expect Brown's assist totals to reflect his court vision.

-Moody remains in our top 10 as a scoring guard that has ramped up his play-making off the bounce to compliment the scoring ability. His on-ball defense has stood out as a way to impact the game if it's not his day scoring the basketball, sliding his feet well to force turnovers and missed shots. Looked back to 100% athletically in a dominant win vs the Arts School at the Dream Classic at Bowie State, repeatedly blowing past his matchup to score or create in the paint while also hitting shots from the midrange off the bounce.

-The athletic wing prospect can play 1-4 for Sidwell depending on injuries and rotations, using his athleticism to impact the game as a scorer, rebounder, and defender. The shot mechanics on his midrange pull-up are looking more compact and consistent, taking advantage of the space that defenders want to give him to cut off his slashing to the rim to pull up for an easy two. Defensively he has been incredibly valuable within Sidwell's system as a trapping wing that forces turnovers on the sideline and in the paint, also showing off some improved shot-blocking ability in the key. As Sidwell's core returns to the lineup from injury, I think Collingwood will be even more effective as a slasher, play-finisher and scorer in the halfcourt that can take advantage of the defensive attention given to their senior backcourt to make plays for his team.

-Not in any way selling our stock on the 'footer, as he has one of the highest upsides in the class as a physical big that needs to constantly be accounted for at both ends of the floor. Ibe serves as an effective roll and lob target in the halfcourt for Mt. Zion, and I think his development will continue to progress as he understands half court spacing and the timing for his on-ball screens or cuts to the rim. The mindset, measurables, and athleticism is there-- excited to see how he progresses down the final stretch of the season and into spring AAU.

-Meeks continues to impress as one of the most consistent performers that can swing games for the Stags with his outside shooting. Like that he is starting to mix in 1-dribble pull-ups after ducking under hard closeouts to give himself easy looks at the rim, and he is starting to see the floor better in PnR opportunities as well. The footwork and speed coming off screens allows the DM coaching staff some flexibility with his usage as turning corners and getting into his jumper quickly off the catch is routine at this point for the junior marksmen. Like the improved defensive activity on the ball this season as that will be a big swing skill for Meeks in the 2026 class.

-Cannady continues to move up in our rankings as a shot-making guard that has been instrumental to the Panthers' 19-4 start to the season despite playing in several out of town tournaments. Cannady manipulates defenders well in ball screens and is more consistently seeing opportunities to get downhill when the defender lock+trails or reject the screen to pull-up for a smooth jumper when the defenders go under the pick. Cannady's scoring is especially deadly in transition, stopping on a dime to hit jumpers or skip pass the ball to the other side of the floor to get an open look for a teammate.

-Huan has been a steadying and consistent presence for a young Sandy Spring team that needs his interior and perimeter scoring. The handle has continued to smoothen to allow him to get past his matchup with only a dribble or two from the perimeter to the rim, and he is starting to knock down perimeter jumpers off the bounce as well as off the catch. A willing passer that locates his shooters out of double teams, his skillset at that size makes him a name to know in the 2026 class.
