Meeks gets a 1-spot bump to No. 8 in the final rankings and checks in as the second-highest available prospect. The 6-foot guard is one of the most explosive scorers in the DMV who can change the course of a game in a handful of possessions as he proved once again this year. He ended his high school career in the MDPSSBT semifinals in a close loss to Clinton Grace, but went out in style to a tune of 28 points and in the quarterfinal win over Glenelg Country, recorded a career-high 10 assists. There are a few programs in the mix with Meeks, but James Madison has made their presence known for some time now. We’ll see if a decision from Meeks is coming in the next few weeks or so.

Writing the final chapter of an accomplished high school career, Meeks refused to go down without a fight while pouring in 28 points in DeMatha’s narrow loss to Clinton Grace. Never coming out of the game, he applied constant pressure on the defense with his trademark long-range shooting and expanded game off the dribble. Meeks never stopped moving whether with or without the ball while consistently burning defenders on the perimeter with his handle and showing refined decisionmaking to help set up teammates for easy looks. Despite struggling with his efficiency from the field, he was able to manufacture his own offense, knocking down 16 of 18 attempts from the foul line. With his senior season now in the rearview, Meeks’ attention will shift to his recruitment as one of the top available guards in the region.

Despite going down with a narrow loss, Meeks impressed with a 22-point effort while continuing to prove himself as one of the top unsigned guards in the region. Taking on increased ballhandling duties this year, he was in consistent attack mode off the bounce, navigating Carroll’s swarming defense to work to his spots and convert. A noted perimeter marksman, he struggled to just 2-for-9 from 3 but was efficient from the midrange and near the rim. He had some struggles with ball security but did show an added element as a facilitator with a number of slick drive-and-dish feeds. It was a gutsy performance that made it clear why Meeks is being pursued by a number of mid-major programs.

Scoring guard that rebounds like he is a 6-4 guard. Tough, but also displayed phenomenal IQ and pace to his game. Jet quick shifty and creating ball who has a strong burst when attacking the basket. He defends at a high level, rebounds well for his position and size, makes plays for himself and others at a consistent rate. Scored 22 points on 8-19 from the field | 2-9 from the 3pt line| 6 rebounds |3 assists in a loss to Carroll in the quarterfinals.

-The Stags picked up a big league win at home against SJC and Meeks was a big reason why. Meeks started things off by showing the point guard progression strides that he’s made this season: hitting a cutter for a layup, throwing a crosscourt dime to the shooter, and driving middle to draw two before throwing a perfectly-placed lob to his big for the 2-handed flush. Meeks’ trademark scoring chops were also on display as he got to it from all 3 levels for Coach Jones and his staff. Meeks hit a pull-up 3 off the bounce, a wing 3 off the catch, picked up his dribble from volleyball line and laced a deep 3 off the pivot before the shot clock expired, hit a 1-dribble pull-up middie, and had perhaps the play of the game when he drew a foul going to the rim at the end of a shot clock to hit both the contested layup aas well as the ensuing FT to give DeMatha the final cushion that they needed to close out the game. Definite 1st-Team performer and in the running for WCAC Player of the Year for the combination of individual development and team success.

The Stags’ top scorer possesses a combination of quick explosiveness, the ability to shoot the ball, and a solid overall skill set. Ace is a crafty ball handler who plays with all-out effort, good vision and deep range 3pt jump shooter. struggled offensively as the top on ball defender in the country Jordan Smith hounded him into a 10-point performance tonight.

One of the more established entities in the region, Meeks has been torching nets almost from Day One in a DeMatha uniform, posting more than his fair share of prolific shooting performances over the years in both scholastic and AAU settings. Meeks is a certified sniper from the perimeter, a threat to knock down a half-dozen 3s any time he takes the court with a lightning-quick release and the ability to set himself at a moment’s notice whether off the catch or dribble. He’s a dogged defender at the point of attack and has grown in his ability to facilitate and run a team from the lead guard spot. While not a traditional point despite his stature, Meeks’ exploits from beyond the arc have him firmly on the radar of a handful of mid-major programs.

No movement for Meeks, but maintains his status as one of the best available 2026 prospects in the area. His volume scoring and lethal shooting from beyond the arc can quickly establish insurmountable leads for the Stags or help dig them out of holes established early in games. Simply put, when you’re coaching against Meeks you need to maintain your intensity, concentration and pressure at all times or else the momentum can shift within the matter of a few possessions. DeMatha is 7-2 overall with their two losses coming to very respectable programs in Santa Margarita (CA) and Notre Dame (CA). They’ve complied significant wins over programs such as Mount Carmel (MD), Fayetteville Academy (NC), Torrey Pines (CA), and Clinton Grace (MD) among others. James Madison, St. Louis and San Francisco are the latest schools to become involved with Meeks.

There isn’t ever going to be a game where Meeks doesn’t look to make his mark with his ability to get buckets in bunches, but it was good to see in their lopsided win over Fayetteville Academy on Friday his adjustment to spread the wealth. He’d score a team-high 19 points, but really used the second half to frequent the paint and reward his bigs with dump-offs or quick swings to the strong side corner for spot-ups to shooters. He ended the game with six assists as his night ended a bit early playing just 23 minutes with the game being firmly secured after the first quarter thanks to DeMatha’s energy.

DeMatha delivered a knockout punch from the jump in their dominant showing against Fayetteville where they’d go on to win by a final score of 90-65 in a game that was never close. As usual, Meeks steered the ship from the perimeter as a scorer, but this Stags group overall seems to be coming together quickly and playing with great cohesion. The lead guard keeps pressure on this defender at all times with his deep range, quick first step to get into the lane, and creativity as a bucket-getter around the rim. He did a nice job of taking his foot off the gas pedal as a scorer as the game progressed to set up others and display his playmaking as indicated by his 19 points and six assists in 23 minutes of action.
