-Really have enjoyed tracking the development of the Ohio native as a dynamic 2/3 prospect that leaves a huge impact on the game at both ends of the floor. He started things off with a baseline drive and 1-handed slam, hit a C+S corner 3, grabbed a defensive board and scored on a coast to coast drive, showed a nice burst to sprint out ahead of the pack to collect an overhead pass and score in transition, scored off a jab from the wing and 1 dribble pull from the elbow, and had a good face cut for the 3-point play in the paint to make it a 7-point game late in the 4Q. LM+ coaches should be blowing up his phone to add a plug n play 2-way wing that should make a defensive impact out the gate while adding in some dynamic play-finishing and secondary scoring. Currently hearing from Ivy, Patriot, Big West, HBCU, and American East schools. Holds an offer from UMass Lowell.

Shoultz has steadily improved since his arrival as the senior transfer took some time to adjust to his role at DeMatha. The Ohio native has settled in and now become a two-way impact guard for head coach Mike Jones who poses as a shooting threat from the perimeter off the catch with the burst to attack closeouts and finish in posterizing fashion thanks to his athletic pop. He brings a competitive edge to the defensive end that is shown with his competitiveness both on and off the ball. His low-maintenance approach and efficient offensive skill set has proven to fit nicely alongside more of a volume scorer such as

Shoultz’s progression since the summer with this DeMatha team has been noteworthy. The transfer from Ohio made his debut with the Stags in the summer for DMV Live and while there were flashes of tools, the 6-foot-4 two-way guard has strung together consistent performances so far this regular season. His combination of athleticism, shooting, and ability as a connector all serve as key components to DeMatha’s 5-1 start with wins over a few notable programs. I’m a believer that Shoultz should be on the radars of DI programs.

Shoultz was one of the true stock-rising 2026 prospects for me throughout the weekend due to his long list of translatable skills now that he’s finding his niche within this DeMatha team. A transfer out of Ohio, Shoultz was finding his way this summer with the Stags during the June scholastic live period and while he had flashes, the consistency wasn’t there. Fast forward to now and he looks much more comfortable within the offense and where he’ll get his shots. His athleticism was on full display in the open floor where he threw down a few eye-popping dunks that caught the crowds attention. His defensive makeup is something that should have Division I programs’ attention with the blend of length, twitch and versatility in the backcourt positions. DeMatha absolutely dominated in their Friday night game against Fayetteville Academy (NC) 90-65 and then had a tough matchup the following afternoon against Santa Margarita (CA) where they let go of the rope in the final frame. Shoultz reached double-figures in both contests.

Shoultz’s name was certainly trending around the gym as DeMatha put the paws on Fayetteville. The 6-foot-4 guard set an early tone that lasted throughout the evening with high-flying finishes that added salt to the womb for the opposition. He’s a legitimate two-way presence who is dialed in defensively as a communicator and did an nice job of maintaining correct positioning as an off-ball defender. Shoultz brought great energy and it showed in how he sprinted the lanes where he was used as a lob threat in transition. One of the plays of the evening happened when he had the ball at the three point line on a fast break where he took one dribble, spun past a reaching defender and immediately exploded off two feet with an emphatic two-handed flush. Shoultz should be on DI radars. He finished with 11 points (5/7 FG) and three assists.

Jadencombination of size, athleticism, and two-way ability will make him a nightmare for opponents. Shoultz can consistently generate clean looks for himself and others but can also find opportunities as an off-ball threat. He scores from all levels, sees the floor well as a playmaker, and regularly applies pressure at the rim. Add in his rebounding and defensive versatility, and it’s easy to see why he’s going to attract college coaches throughout the season. Finish the game with 8 (2-5 from the 3pt line) points, 6 assists, and 2 steals.

Jaden has been a pleasantly surprised throughout the summer through this fall. Living impression whenever he steps on the floor. He’s a threat from all areas both off the catch and when pulling up off the bounce. Jaden mechanics are sound and smooth. He has a strong wiry frame, able to bully smaller defenders while working off the bounce and explosive downhill maneuvering his way through contact to score around the rim. He executed floaters with a soft touch to score over length. A powerful/athletic leaper, he’s also active on the glass on both ends of the floor and has a great motor seeking extra possessions with his effort and athleticism. He’s one you must keep a body on because he is so active and opportunistic on both ends of the floor. Jaden is a potential wing prospect that has the potential to be a impactful player for the Stags this season. Sure next level prospect.

The second former Northland athlete to appear on this list, Shoultz had some impressive seasons for the back-to-back Columbus City League Champs. Shoultz is now headed to one of the top high school programs in the country in DeMatha, who try and reload after losing numerous pieces to other prep programs themselves. Shoultz has always been a talented shot maker with athletic potential and could breakout as a senior.

-Like the flashes of upside that I’ve seen from the Ohio transfer so far this summer. Shoultz is a high level athlete that can really impact games with his slashing, offensive rebounding, and defense. If he can put on some weight and really lock in on the defensive end of the floor– I think the DM coaching staff can really develop him into one of the premier perimeter defenders in the area. I expect him to play a key role for the Stags this season as they find opportunities to deploy him as a disruptive force this season.

A high energy well-rounded wing guard who dictates the offensive action, creates for others, and applies consistent scoring pressure from all levels. Jaden is a reliable shooter from midrange and beyond the arc yet knows how to get downhill and reliably finish around the basket. Had a high game of 15 points against a talented Gillion Academy. Jaden is a prospect that will surprise some folks this year with his play.
