At Prep Hoops Indiana we take great pride in going above and beyond in order to deliver the very best content 365 days a year. We are lucky to be here in a basketball-rich state with some of the best players, coaches, and overall competition in the country. Therefore, we try to do our part in lifting up the game by hitting the road more than anyone else. We really get to flex those muscles each fall as we spend time visiting with high school programs during their open gym schedule through September and October. In September I was able to hit 14 schools and expect to approach that number again in October. Here is one big picture thought on each program that I visited. You can find the first seven (alphabetically) by clicking here. Now, here are the second seven.

Indianapolis Lutheran

Always among the favorites in Class 1A, the 2022 state champions have a balanced mixture of returning production as well as an influx of young talent. [player_tooltip player_id='1539996' first='Lonte' last='Ward'] is the star of the show bringing back 18.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. The dynamic point guard is an under recruited prospect who led Lutheran in scoring as a sophomore on their state championship team and now looks to return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse as a senior. [player_tooltip player_id='2053660' first='Cayden' last='Loescher'] was a key contributor on that team as well. Then, you add in 6'6" freshman forward [player_tooltip player_id='2539953' first='Jarrett' last='Harris'] who will make an immediate impact. Expect to see the Saints competing at the top of Class 1A once again.

Lawrence Central

Sectional 10 is a meat grinder once again, but at least it is down to "just" five teams. It'll never be easy for Lawrence Central to cut down the nets, but they have the talent to compete with anyone this season. Returning guards [player_tooltip player_id='1981704' first='Albert' last='Gooden III'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1561118' first='Doron' last='Harris'] give them plenty of playmaking while sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2266897' first='Kenneth' last='Lampley'] and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley'] are welcomed additions. They provide some length, athleticism, and additional scoring on the perimeter. That core has a high-ceiling, but there is quite a bit of depth for Coach Phil Washington to work with as well. The Bears are an under-the-radar team going into the 2024-2025 season.

Lawrence North

Lawrence North spent quite a bit of time last season at #1 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 4A poll and will begin the 2024-2025 season in the Top 5 once again. Butler commit [player_tooltip player_id='1296979' first='Azavier' last='Robinson'] will be an Indiana Mr. Basketball candidate while front court duo [player_tooltip player_id='1729136' first='Brennan' last='Miller'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1509229' first='Kai' last='McGrew'] could both make the Indiana Junior All-Star team. Look for homeschool transfer [player_tooltip player_id='2252744' first='Logan' last='Duke Karnes'] to make an impact for the Wildcats as well. As always, there is plenty of talent throughout the rotation for Coach Chris Giffin to work with.

New Palestine

[player_tooltip player_id='1297068' first='Julius' last='Gizzi'], an Indiana Wesleyan commit, will compete for Indiana's scoring title this season as he will likely approach 30 points per game once again. However, it is far from a one-man show for the Dragons. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1539484' first='Moses' last='Haynes'], [player_tooltip player_id='1539483' first='Ben' last='Slagley'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1539569' first='Keagan' last='Harrison'] are all back and are college-level players. Keep an eye on freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2560420' first='Will' last='Davison'] too who could certainly factor into the equation at some point this season. New Palestine is one of three Class 4A Sectional Champions moving down to Class 3A this season.

Noblesville

The Millers were incredibly close to knocking off Fishers in Sectional 8 last season. That "what could have been" feeling will fuel Noblesville this season. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1534261' first='Justin' last='Curry II'] will step into the go-to scorer role alongside returning guards [player_tooltip player_id='1561054' first='Baron' last='Walker'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1428862' first='TJ' last='Davidson'] who will be asked to take on larger roles after the graduation of Indiana All-Star Aaron Fine who is now at Purdue. It is never easy to make it through the Indianapolis area gauntlet, but Noblesville will be as tough to beat as anyone once again.

Park Tudor

If you are looking for a preseason favorite in Class 2A, Park Tudor will certainly be in that conversation. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1297034' first='Hudson' last='Horvath'] brings back 19 points per game and will once again be one of the most talented scorers in the area. He has plenty of help as well though with classmates [player_tooltip player_id='1297074' first='KJ' last='Mark'], Montell Johnson, [player_tooltip player_id='1525681' first='Eli' last='Bennett'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1539289' first='Preston' last='Blount'] all coming back. [player_tooltip player_id='2400045' first='Keylan' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2140369' first='Griffyn' last='Robisch'] will help add in a bit of size as well for the Panthers. This is a very well-rounded Class 2A squad.

South Ripley

An under-the-radar duo this season will be [player_tooltip player_id='1907680' first='Cole' last='Henry'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2053681' first='Blaine' last='Ward'] at South Ripley. These two seniors will go down in the record books as potential the top two scorers in school history and will give this group a chance to compete among the Top 10 in Class 2A this season. There are also three freshmen to keep an eye on in Eli Giplin, [player_tooltip player_id='2477290' first='Blake' last='Gunter'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2408894' first='Landon' last='Werner'].
