Kentucky Elite Camp: Top 2026s

Over 70 prospects from the Freshman through Senior classes traveled to Wilmore on Saturday to compete at the first ever Kentucky Elite Camp. Taking place at Asbury University, several of Kentucky's best prospects were put through a combine in the morning and played 5 on 5 games in the afternoon. Here's a breakdown of the top Junior performers from the event. This does not include players who were mentioned in the Top Performers article from last night.    Saturday was the first extended viewing of Miles that I'd had in over a year and he was pretty impressive. He's quick and skilled with the ability to finish at a high rate around the rim or knock down jumpers with range. He definitely looks like a scholarship level prospect.     Stricklin is a player who has really impressed in the last month between the PH Expo and Saturday's camp. He's very athletic and shot the ball really well. Several folks were asking "who is that kid" as the day wore on. Acey was making a name for himself on Saturday.     Jackson was one of the best shooters in the building on Saturday but also showed that he can attack off the bounce and finish through traffic. Keene is a good athlete who doesn't force much. He knocks down open shots and does his part on both ends of the court.     This was the first time I've seen Malachi since he had a brutal leg injury during the regional tournament but he looks like he's back to his old self now. Ashford is both quick and fast and showed the ability to make plays in transition as well as good reads out of the pick and roll.     Faulkner is one of the best all around athletes in the 2026 class and showed it on Saturday. Bryonn is very fast and was impressive in the open floor all day on Saturday. He's still heavy on his left hand and needs to get more confident finishing with his right but Faulkner had a good day Saturday.     One of the most impressive players of the day in my opinion, I though Landon was very efficient in his scoring and added rebounding and shot blocking in the 5 on 5 part of the game. Blakey is much more comfortable on the wing than he was the last time I saw him but he still will take a smaller defender to the block and post them up.     Hayden had a very good day on Saturday. In past viewings of Shouse, I felt like he was thinking too much instead of just playing basketball. At camp, Hayden was the best I've seen him and it was because he was just being a basketball player. His motor was running at a high level and he wasn't robotic with the ball in his hands like I've seen before. Definitely left with a really good impression of the 6'7 wing after Saturday.     Saturday was my first chance to see Amari and I was impressed with his offensive arsenal. Bartelson has legitimate size at 6'7 and is capable of scoring on the block or stretching out and knocking down jumpers. If Amari can get in the weight room and on the Vertimax, he can take his game to the next level.
