Keene has been a known name in the mountains for a few years now. In his Senior season for Pikeville, Jackson is shooting 50% from deep and has helped Pikeville solidify themselves as a real threat in the 15th region this season. Keene himself is looking like a scholarship level prospect right now.

is one of Kentucky’s top shooters in the 2026 class, known for his smooth stroke and ability to create off the dribble. The Pikeville guard averaged 14.7 points and four rebound last season while earning All-15th Region Coaches Association honors. A high-IQ, team-first player, Keene defends with intensity, spaces the floor efficiently, and rarely turns the ball over. He holds offers from Union, Brescia, and Kentucky Christian University and continues to raise his stock with improved explosiveness and defensive versatility. With his work ethic and shooting consistency, Keene projects as a strong fit for college programs seeking a dependable perimeter scorer.

One of the top shooters in Kentucky’s 2026 class, Keene was shooting the ball with confidence from the perimeter and does a lot of primary creating for his team at the high school level. Able to get around defenders easier off the dribble, Keene had a couple floaters thanks to his soft touch on both floaters and jump-shots. With a decent core returning, Pikeville should be one of the favorites in the 15th region this season.

Keene had one of the best shooting performances I saw all weekend in the final game of the event as players were tired and Keene still had his legs under him to convert on a bunch of open 3-point attempts. An off guard who shoots a consistent ball out his hands every time, Keene gets good balance when he catches the pass and even his misses are on line. If you are looking for a perimeter shooting specialist, you could do a lot worse than Keene.

Jackson was one of the best shooters in the building on Saturday but also showed that he can attack off the bounce and finish through traffic. Keene is a good athlete who doesn’t force much. He knocks down open shots and does his part on both ends of the court.

Keene has been putting up big scoring numbers for East Ridge the last two seasons and will now look to do more of the same for Pikeville the next two seasons. Pikeville was one of the schools that was hit hardest by graduation the last two seasons and they will need Jackson to step up for them right away.

Jackson is a high volume scorer on an East Ridge roster that needs him to be great to have a chance to win. Keene will be easier to evaluate in an AAU setting when he’s not forced to carry a massive burden on offense. East Ridge also has a super back loaded schedule that will keep Keene busy, playing 20 games in 32 days starting next week.

Jackson goes from 42nd to 31st in this update and will climb higher once he refines his shot selection and becomes a more willing passer. There is no denying that Keene is a talented player but he often defaults to either putting his head down and going or launching a three. If he buys into being a facilitator, there’s no reason Keene can’t be a top player in his region and a legitimate college prospect.

had a really successful season. He put up 10.9 points along with 3.5 rebounds. Keene also hit 64 treys and shot over 70% from the strike. With the ability to put up those numbers as a freshman, the ceiling is high for his sophomore season. Keene can put the ball in the basket whenever and however he needs to.
