About Miles
Expert Analysis
Steve Quattrocchi | Prep Hoops Scout
A high scoring guard who is comfortable playing on or off the ball, Miles has been one of the best players in the first region for years. He’s averaging 25 points on shooting splits of 60/41/77 after being a dominant player at Paducah Tilghman for the last few seasons. Woodfork has recently been offered by Campbellsville University and should have plenty of options on signing day.

A tough guard prospect who can fill up a stat sheet in a hurry, Woodfork is one of the most impactful transfers in the state this season. After having to score a ton of points for Tilghman the last few years, Miles should be able to act more as a facilitator for the Mustangs this season.

One of the leading scorers in the first region for the last few seasons, Woodfork made the move from Tilghman over to McCracken and likely makes the Mustangs the team to beat in the first region this season.

A strong downhill lefty driver, Woodfork wants to attack with the ball in his left hand and has a variety of ways he can finish with his dominant hand. A talented athlete and scorer, Woodfork showed off his ability to play in transition and thrive in an up-tempo game. One of the more talented guards in southwest Kentucky, Woodfork is a reliable 3-point shot away from being one of the toughest players in the state to defend.

Miles made noise last week when he transferred across the region from Paducah Tilghman to McCracken County. That should put McCracken County on the short list of best teams in the state and will be favorites to get to Rupp. As a player, Woodfork can score the ball at a high level. He’s very skilled and has a tight handle with the ability to finish through bigger defenders at the rim. He’s one of the biggest sleepers in the state, in my opinion.

Woodfork’s team struggled this past weekend but he had a strong showing as an individual, earning top performer honors from some scouts covering NXT Pro. Miles is a shifty driver who can fill up the stat sheet in a hurry. When Woodfork is at his best, he’s getting into the paint and scoring or creating open looks for his teammates.

One of the best players in western Kentucky that no one talks about, Woodfork is a talented guard who is quick and plays with an edge to his game. Miles can get downhill and finish or knock down threes from range. I’d like to see him facilitate more as I know he can create his own offense. Miles could be a steal for a school this summer.

Miles makes a move up from 36th to 21st and projects solidly as a scholarship level prospect. Woodfork has a certain level of swagger about himself. He’s not cocky but he believes he’s the best player on every court he steps foot on and I can appreciate that. Woodfork is a tough finisher who is effective as an on ball defender on the other end as well.
