Not sure if any player was as unselfish as Martin was on Sunday. Making the right read for his teammates, I think I could score a few points if I was playing with Martin because he was setting his teammates up in perfect positions to score. A couple no look and bounce passes through traffic really caught my eye but also just making the simple pass to move the ball goes a long way. Martin made it easier on the rest of his teammates to be featured in an article like this.

McCracken County has been a powerhouse in the first region since the school opened. This is a year that the Mustangs could be trending down. Sophomore Jay Martin is going to be in a position to make a big impact after being a role player last season. Martin is a shifty guard who can get to his spots. Rival Paducah Tilghman is full of athletic guards and Martin will likely be in charge of helping to contain Junior

Martin is a role player for a McCracken program that is in reload mode. While he probably hasn’t had the impact in his freshman season that he was hoping for, Jay projects to be a very good high school player with potential to be a top player in the first region for multiple years.

Martin came to our freshman camp and left me wanting to see more of him. Jay, like several players in the class, has had a decent amount of early hype leading into his high school career. He will be relied on to produce for McCracken County this season. I was underwhelmed with his performance at freshman camp, maybe because he has gotten hyped up as a top 27 already. I hope to get to see McCracken this season and get a better evaluation of Martin.

Martin could see a significant amount of playing time for McCracken County this season, which doesn’t happen often for Freshmen. Anderson is a tough guard with a pretty good first step that he uses to get past defenders and attack the rim. If his motor is running, he does a lot to help his team win.
