[player_tooltip player_id='1595679' first='Deron' last='Rippey Jr.'], 6'1 Blair Academy

Rippey Jr. is the top ranked prospect in the update and will be one to track throughout the course of the season. The 6'1 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and elevates for dunks at the rim. Rippey Jr. can also score in the mid-range and rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure. He is a tough on-ball defender and has the ability to play off the ball as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595673' first='Jalen' last='Grant'], 6'0 Roselle Catholic

Grant is poised to have a strong 2024-25 season as he will shoulder more of a scoring load this season. The 6'0 guard has a tight handle, which he uses to beat his defender and finishes in a variety of ways around the rim. Grant is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He knows how to find his teammates in the halfcourt and slides his feet on the defensive end. Grant recently picked up an offer from Pepperdine and should pick up more throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411663' first='Torrey' last='Brooks'], 5'11 Camden

Brooks is moving back to the Garden State after spending the 2023-24 season in PA and is slated to put up big numbers. The 5'11 guard is explosive off the bounce as he blows by his defender off the bounce and can finish through contact. Brooks has a nice touch on his floater and sets his feet before he shoots. He threads passes to his teammates in the halfcourt and uses his quickness to get deflections on the defensive end. Brooks is a speedy guard prospect who will be one to track throughout the winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1609109' first='Richie' last='Rosa'], 6'0 St. Peter's Prep

Rosa has been a key part of the Marauders' attack for the past two seasons and should carry it over into this year. The 6'0 guard uses his handle to get to his spot on the floor and makes plays in the paint. Rosa finishes nicely around the basket and can also score in the mid-range. He is a tough on-ball defender and works for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Rosa is a gritty, lead guard prospect who does whatever it takes to help his team win games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2347867' first='Sage' last='Mateo'], 6'3 Hun

Mateo is an intriguing prospect to watch in the class with his combination of size, length and skill. The 6'3 guard has a nice handle, which he uses to get to the rim and finishes nicely around the basket. Mateo can also score in the mid-range and has a good release on his jumper. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrated passer. Mateo is a lanky guard prospect whose ability to make plays with the ball in his hands will help his stock in a big way.
