2027 Independent School Forward Prospects to Track

<p>September is only a few days away, meaning the new academic school year is right around the corner. The 2027 class is filled with talent in the front court, especially in the independent division. Here are the 2027 independent school forward prospects to track this season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470853' first='Kamsi' last='Awaka'], 6'9 PF Blair Academy</strong></h2>   <p>Awaka is one of the top forward prospects in the Garden State and should put his game on full display this season. The 6'9 forward uses his strong frame to get position down low and can finish through contact around the rim. Awaka runs the floor hard, setting himself for easy baskets in transition. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his size to influence shots on the defensive end. Awaka is a talented forward prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2879017' first='Peti' last='Rosta'], 6'10 PF Blair Academy</strong></h2>   <p>Awaka isn't the only Blair Academy forward ready to have a huge year as Rosta is primed to make noise this season. The 6'10 forward has a good face-up game as he can put the ball on the floor and can knock down jumpers from behind the arc. Rosta can also pass out of the post and has a nice touch around the basket. He is an underrated defender and fights for rebounds at both ends of the floor. Rosta is a skilled forward prospect whose versatility should be on display this season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2891271' first='David' last='Massengo'], 6'8 PF Life Center Academy</strong></h2>   <p>Massengo joins a talented Warriors squad that should make noise this season. The 6'8 forward explodes off the floor for dunks and knows how to get position down low. Massengo sets strong screens in the half court and rolls hard to the basket. He swats a ton of shots around the basket and skies for rebounds at both ends of the floor. Massengo is a hard-working forward prospect who should swat shots and rips down rebounds at both ends of the floor.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1608249' first='Josh' last='Benka-Coker'], 6'8 PF Pennington</strong></h2>   <p>Benka-Coker had a solid debut season for Pennington, but should have an even bigger second season. The 6'8 forward uses his strong frame to get position down low and has a nice touch around the rim. Benka-Coker can also put the ball on the floor and has a high release on his free throws. He influences a ton of shots around the rim and works hard for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Benka-Coker should influence the game at both ends of the floor, which will help his stock throughout the course of the season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2534483' first='Dillon' last='Adomanis'], 6'7 PF Life Center Academy</strong></h2>   <p>Adomanis is primed to make an immediate impact for the Warriors with his ability to score inside and out. The 6'7 forward knows how to get position down low and has a good touch around the basket. Adomanis can also put the ball on the floor and sets strong screens in the half court. He runs the floor hard and is an underrated rebounder.
