Expert Analysis
Paul Hernandez | Prep Hoops Scout
Grant is a lightning quick and dynamic player that keeps constant pressure on the opponent, has great control playing at a fast pace, and is able to create his own offense or make plays for others. The 6-foot point guard has dynamic handles and keeps the ball on a string, has great court vision to find open teammates off the drive and kick pass, makes good reads in the pick and roll action, with pin-point passes hitting the roller in stride, and is a tough on-ball defender with the footspeed to stay in front of most perimeter players. Grant has shifty moves to break his defender, with the crossover and the hesitation moves to get by his opponent, and elite burst of speed off the bounce with creativity on the finish at the basket, using the reverse and spin-move off the defender lay-ups, as well as touch on the floater. Grant has a quick stop-and-pop jumper, is effective with the 3-ball off the bounce or the catch, and combining his speed off the dribble and shooting ability, he is a tough match-up for most defenders. Grant had a strong showing with 18 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds in a win over Notre Dame (SO).

display his ability to be just as effective as a scorer as he typically is as a decision maker. Whether it was using his quickness off the bounce to attack his defender and finish with touch around the basket or knock down outside shots off the catch, Grant demonstrated his ability to provide steady and timely offense.

had a strong showing over the weekend that saw him maintain a healthy balance between scoring and playmaking, ultimately keeping the defense honest at all times. Grant consistently touched the paint and either finished with craftiness around the basket, got to his mid range game, sprayed out to open shooters, or hit rim runners in transition.

Here’s a polished version with better flow and clarity:
A high-energy, high-motor point guard who thrives on attacking defenders off the dribble. An emotional leader and a great field general, he commands the floor with confidence. A steady, mistake-free player who makes smart decisions. Averaging 12 points per game, he consistently contributes on both ends of the court. Most comfortable with the ball in his hand. Holds 12 Division offers from Illinois, Pepperdine, Providence, Hampton, Manhattan, and Auburn to to name a few.

A classic Jersey guard, Grant is the straw that stirs the drink for the Roselle attack. He spearheads the Lions’ pressure defense, turning opponents at the point of attack over to spark transition offense. Capable of operating in the dribble-drive game, Grant did more of his damage in the halfcourt in this game as a floor-spacer, converting 3 shots from deep. Will be a popular name amongst D1 coaches across the Northeast over the next year.
