Today, we'll start with the Point Guards. [player_tooltip player_id='2341288' first='Warren' last='Keel Jr.'], now at Putnam Science Academy, holds down the top spot in the region. Keel Jr., a nationally ranked prospect, had a terrific summer running the offense for the Mass Rivals, and is primed for an even bigger breakout this winter.

Jenkins, who had a starring role for BABC this summer, recently won a Gold Medal while competing for the United States at the FIBA U18 3x3 World Cup. One of the fastest guards end-to-end in the region, Jenkins stock has only gone up since he announced he would be attending Worcester Academy. On top of his end-to-end speed, he has a quick first step, good burst through tight spaces, and the ability to quickly switch directions off the bounce. He's a crafty finisher in the paint, utilizing his length to finish at the rim and his touch to finish over bigger opponents. He can get to his spots at will and does a good job of elevating in the mid-range into his jumper. Defensively, he's a terrific on-ball defender that can really heat up the basketball on the perimeter. He has good instincts on the ball and does a good job of reading passing lanes for steals and deflections. He should be among the top guards in the NEPSAC this winter and is on the radar of some high level programs in the region.

Pettway, another reclassified guard, had a strong summer on the EYBL with The City Rocks. A dynamic lead guard, Pettway has a great feel for the game with the ball in his hands. He's got a tight handle, an explosive first step, and the ability to stop and change direction on a dime. He's a crafty finisher in the paint and has a knack for knocking down mid-range jumpers off the bounce. He has next level floor vision and makes solid decisions in ball screens. Defensively, he's a strong on-ball defender that moves his feet well and keeps opposing ball-handlers out of the paint. He's disruptive on the ball and can quickly turn deflections or steals into transition opportunities. Already a scholarship level product, he has a chance to play his way to the highest level and could turn a lot of heads this year while running the show for St. Thomas More.

Adamson, who heads to Dexter Southfield after a strong season in the MIAA at Burke, had a strong summer on the travel circuit with Team New England Basketball Club. A rugged and tough leader guard, Adamson is capable of taking over games as a scorer or facilitator. He's strong enough to play through contact, finishes in a variety of ways in the paint, and can really get going from behind the arc when he's on. He has a good feel in ball screens and shows an understanding of when to turn the corner and look to score versus when to find the open man. Defensively, he's another guard that likes to hound opposing ball-handlers for 94'. His toughness and intensity shines on this end of the floor as he's willing to hunt down loose balls or give his body up to take charges. The move to the NEPSAC should help his exposure and with continued development, he could play his way into scholarship consideration this winter.

Bazzano, a high academic prospect, had a strong summer at multiple stops, including on the travel circuit with BCRI. A heady lead guard, Bazzano has a great feel for how to control tempo, as well as how to hunt his shot off of ball screens. He does a nice job of creating space off the bounce and elevating into his jumper behind the arc. He has some quick twitch moments, where he shows pops of athleticism, and does a good job of capitalizing on openings in the defense. He takes care of the ball, finds open teammates for easy looks, and does a good job of pushing the ball in transition. Defensively, he's gritty and intelligent, showing the willingness to give up his body but also showing the IQ to anticpate the next play. He does a good job of keeping the ball in front of him and it usually the first to the floor for loose balls. He's a college prospect already and could turn heads this winter on a very talented St. George's squad.

Maxwell-Grimes, who had a strong summer with the New York Renaissance, is among the more athletic lead guards in this class. A big time scorer that thrives in transition, Maxwell-Grimes proved this summer to be capable of running the show full time. He's a three level scorer, a tough paint finisher, and a shifty ball-handler. He shows a nice crossover, that allows him to get into his mid-range game or past the initial defender and into the paint. When he gets to his spots off the bounce, he makes good decisions as both a scorer and facilitator. He's also proven to be a good offensive rebounder for his position, with a nose for finding the ball on that end of the floor. Defensively, he has great length and quick hands, allowing him to generate a lot of turnovers that lead to open floor scoring opportunities. He's a stock riser that, with a strong season at Suffield, should only increase his options at the college level.
