Over 80 freshmen made the trip to Louisville on Saturday to compete with many of the best players from across the state in this 2028 class. There were several names that have been known for a while coming into the event but plenty more who made names for themselves at camp on Saturday afternoon. Here's a look at some players that caught my eye in my first time seeing them on Saturday. This is not including players who have already been featured in other articles about Saturday.

Hughes was a player I only got to see briefly on Saturday but he impressed me enough to want to see more in the future. Justin has good size already and flashed enough skill and athleticism that it's easy to see why the coaches at Ashland are so excited about Hughes, long term.

Admittedly, I didn't see enough of Curry-Hill to be blown away on Saturday but I'd like to see more due to his genetics. Most won't remember the name Tre Hill from 2018 but he's Curry-Hill's older brother and was a very talented player. Interested to see if little brother ends up more like older brother.

Howard was one of my favorite players on Saturday. He displayed a ton of potential with his finishing at the rim, through traffic and with both hands. Myles knocked down open shots and looks like he could be a top player in the class, long term.

Beasley impressed me with his willingness to do everything that his team needed to win on Saturday. While he did plenty of scoring, Noah played good defense and rebounded at a high level. Most players get noticed for lighting up the scoreboard but Noah caught my eye with his motor on both ends.

Roberts is quick and shifty with the ball in his hands and has a solid jumpshot with a quick release. "Lil Red" may not see a ton of playing time at Fairdale as a freshman but he's got a chance to carve himself out a decent role.

One of the few out of state players at the event on Saturday, Destin shined all day long. One of the better guards in the event, Kellogg would be in the mix at the top of the class rankings if he were a Kentuckian.

It's hard to shine in a camp setting as a guard but Dexter showed flashes of playmaking that will get him on the court early and often for a Moore team that will need him to be good as a freshman if they're going to be a factor in Louisville.

Cayleb is not a flashy player but he would be filed under "gets things done". Rice was quick with the ball in his hands and made good decisions all afternoon. While he didn't shoot it great, the shot mechanics were fluid and repeatable. Look for him to start for Wayne County this year.

If you were going to want to win one game with any player from the camp, Prestyn may be my pick. Wheatley is very solid and very fundamental. He's a crafty finisher and rebounds the ball well. He was one of Seneca's best players last year and should be their go to scorer as a freshman.
