The 15U and 16U divisions at Prep Hoops The Stage were loaded with talent, as guards, wings, and post players all made their presence felt throughout the event. From explosive perimeter scorers and playmakers to physical interior presences who controlled the glass and protected the rim, this group of standouts brought energy, toughness, and production on both ends. With several players elevating their stock and proving they can impact winning in multiple ways, the weekend provided a strong glimpse into the future of the Midwest basketball scene.

The smooth lead guard came off the bench for [program_tooltip program_id='2076451' first='D1' last='Indiana'] 15u P32 and was an instant impact with his shot making ability as well as his playmaking and leadership. He's a high IQ smaller guard that doesn't force the issue and keeps the ball out of troublesome areas. He's not the quickest or most athletic player, but does a good job with change of speed to get to his spots on the offensive end.

One of the more explosive scorers I saw this weekend, [player_tooltip player_id='2766818' first='Dontae' last='Barnes'] of WeDifferent 812 16u and out of Evansville Bosse had it going in the game I watched. Talented scorer that's aggressive from all over the floor. Smooth shooter with deep range, but also knows when to attack and get to the basket. He's a really good defender that can pressure up and down the floor. He has good instincts playing the passing lanes and can turn defense into offense in a hurry.

An athletic wing that impacted the game on both ends of the floor. [player_tooltip player_id='2880415' first='Ty' last='Bryant'] out of Oldham County, Kentucky is a versatile defender that uses his size and length to his advantage. Able to guard multiple positions and does a good job moving his feet staying in position. Offensively he showed the ability to score from all over the court. Really good catch and shoot three-point shot with a smooth release. Quick first step and is able to take bumps and stay on balance and finish at the rim. He's an intriguing prospect with so much untapped potential.

This was my second time getting to see the high energy forward and again, he didn't disappoint. He's a blend of potential with production. He's a fluid athlete that impacts the game around the rim on both ends of the floor. Really good rim protector and rebounder while showing the ability to guard in the perimeter when switching. He moves his feet extremely well and uses his length to his advantage. He runs like a deer in the open floor getting from rim to rim. He's a lob threat looking to play above the rim. He has good hands and can go get any ball in his area. Plays well out of the pick and roll and pick and pop situations showing his ability to drive it from the mid post and finish in different ways.

Also my second time getting to see the big framed center out of Guerin Catholic and I'm just two weeks I've seen the improvement. He moves well for his size being able to take up space in the paint on both ends. He's an aggressive shot blocker that sometimes results in foul trouble, but he alters every shot in the paint and rebounds at a high level. Offensively, he can do a lot of different things at his size. He has shown the ability to step out make the three, but is a load to handle when he's on the low block. He has good footwork and soft touch over both shoulders. He sets good, hard screens and has shown good hands. As he gets older and his conditioning gets better, he will be a prospect to keep an eye on.
