Prep Hoops Grit Region Finals – 16u All-Tournament Teams

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Friday night, nearly 200 teams from across the Midwest and beyond came to Indiana for the annual Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals. Fast forward less than 48 hours and on Sunday afternoon only three teams remained and were crowned champions after a spring and summer full of competition. As always, our team of scouts had boots on the ground coverage from the opening tip-off until the final buzzer. Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops and that was on fully display throughout this great weekend of basketball. As we begin to put a bow on the Grit Region Finals over the next few days, let's begin by taking a look at our All-Tournament teams. Johnson is a bigger, physical guard that punished defenders off of the dribble throughout the weekend. Moye is an incredibly dynamic playmaker that can get to his spots off of the dribble seemingly whenever he wants. Pomis, a consistent top performer on the Prep Hoops Circuit throughout the spring and summer, was especially impressive with his well-rounded offensive skill level. The 6'3" guard is an excellent outside shooter, but also displayed an impressive post up game where he could operate off of the block against smaller defenders as both a scorer and as a passer. It was a balanced effort with a couple of other talented backcourt mates, but Sims led the way scoring 18, 23, and 16 points respectively on Sunday plus another 20-point performance on Friday evening. He is certainly capable of stepping out and stretching the floor a bit, but he is at his best when dominating on the block with excellent footwork, patience, and a soft touch with his left hand over his right shoulder. Woodall averaged a double-double on the weekend of 15.3 points and 12.5 rebounds per game while leading Kentucky Future Elite to the Final Four.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!--
