The host Lexington Catholic impressed as they took care of a scrappy Paintsville squad. I was impressed with Woodall’s interior scoring as he moved well without the ball to get a handful of open layups from the dunker spot. Woodall has a strong lower center of gravity and pivots to create space to score. Wanting to go through you at the rim, opposing defenses better be ready to match Woodall’s physicality. The lefty forward was extremely efficient in Lexington Catholic’s opening round victory.

Another player who has had to wait his turn, Woodall is having a good start to his Junior year after waiting the last 2 years for more opportunity. He moves up from 81st to 65th in this update and could move up more by years end. Averaging 13 points and 6 rebounds per game, Hank is capable of averaging a double double if he gets more aggressive with his rebounding. Right now, Lexington Catholic needs someone to step into the alpha dog role and it could end up being Woodall.

Woodall was consistently one of the best back to the basket threats on the Prep Hoops Circuit this spring and summer. The 6’4″ left-handed forward is a load to handle on the block with some very impressive footwork and a collection of traditional post moves that he used to dominate around the basket. Playing with KY Future Elite 16u, this Lexington Catholic High School product was a double-double machine as seen by his averages of 15.3 points and 12.5 rebounds per game while helping to lead his team to a Final Four appearance at the Grit Region Finals.

A big, left-handed, traditional post player, Woodall is a bit of a throwback prospect in the modern basketball game. He is certainly capable of stepping out and stretching the floor a bit, but he is at his best when dominating on the block with excellent footwork, patience, and a soft touch with his left hand over his right shoulder. Woodall averaged a double-double on the weekend of 15.3 points and 12.5 rebounds per game while leading Kentucky Future Elite to the Final Four.

The 6’4” PF displayed some outstanding upper-body strength on the low block. Muscled his way to the rim and was a contributing factor on the boards throughout the 16u semifinal. He also had multiple second-chances buckets while showing he can score through contact. Woodall was a very consistent scorer inside who ended the 16u semifinal with 20 points.

You could make a case for simply putting the entire Kentucky Future Elite 2026 team on Friday night’s top performers list. However, Woodall was a standout among the standouts showing off his mobility and physicality as a 6’5″ forward that put up 14 points as one of five in double-figures in a 40-point win.
