Meagher has made a huge physical transformation over the last 6 months or so. He’s added some serious bulk to his frame and looks like he’s ready for the grind of a season in Lexington. He’s averaging near a double double already this season. Max moved up from 70th to 40th in this update.
Meagher has the measurables to be a scholarship level wing. Max has the physical tools to impress coaches at every level. The classic example of a player who should think less and just go, Max has shown flashes of being a D1 prospect. When at his best, Meagher is a top player in the 11th region. Looking to his Senior season, if Max can get back to being a downhill attacker and not settle for threes, he could be one of the breakout players in the state in this class.

. He’s got great positional size at the wing and is a good athlete but Max has waited his turn at Catholic and was unable to crack the rotation last year. Now a Junior, Meagher continues to show flashes of being a big time player. If he can get more consistent this season, Lexington Catholic’s prognosis will be much better, long term.
A physical force for Lexington Catholic, Meagher was Lexington Catholic’s most important defensive piece and rebounder on Tuesday night. Meagher had a couple putback layups and was a roll man for Lexington Catholic’s pick and roll offense. Combine that with a couple touch shots in the 8-15 foot range and Meagher was productive in the paint and a name to watch for small college programs this summer when those schools start to focus on 2026 prospects.

may be expected to replace the interior production that came from Reece Potter, I’d look at Meagher as a player who can step up and replace the overall scoring and impact on the game that Potter brought over the last two seasons, especially. Max is a long and athletic wing who has mid major or better D1 potential. If he can reach his prospect ceiling (or close to it) then Lex Cath can avoid much of a drop off this season.
Meagher is my prediction for “next up” at Lexington Catholic. Max is long and very athletic with the potential to be one of the best prospects in this class once he gets a chance to show what he can do after sitting the varsity bench behind a veteran group last season. If there is a player to buy stock in, Meagher is worth the investment.
Meagher dopped down the rankings because he barely played and varsity time this season for Lexington Catholic. Strictly off of talent, Max is likely a top 10 or better kid in the class and should have opportunity to move back up this AAU season and see a much bigger role for the Knights next season.
Meagher slips down the rankings because he’s primarily playing freshman and JV for a Lexington Catholic squad that is loaded with upperclassmen this season. Max has all the physical abilities to step into a starting role as soon as he gets the opportunity. Look for him to hover in the 10-20 range in the rankings until next season when he could move up as high as top 5.
