Here's a group of talented transfers who should have a big impact at their new schools. A few are familiar impact players from last season, while a few others are players who left Washington and are now returning, and one player is brand new to the state. Keep an eye on these guys this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1451033' first='Jaylen' last='Petty'] Auburn -> Rainier Beach

One of the best in the state, Petty will have an immediate impact and along with a few other transfers, give the Vikings a great shot at returning to the 3A title game this winter. He's an athletic, sharpshooting guard who will impact the game on both ends and has been a big riser on a national scale this spring and summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2478559' first='Cam' last='Hiatt'] Western Reserve Academy -> Edmonds Woodway

The former King's guard makes his return from a year in Ohio with Western Reserve Academy, this time suiting up for Edmonds Woodway. He's a strong guard who can do it all; scoring, defending, playmaking. He makes the Warriors an immediate contender in the Wesco, who have a nice squad around him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450982' first='Gelonni' last='“JuJu” Ervin'] North Central -> Garfield

He's one of the top returning big men in the state and will give Garfield a strong presence around the rim to go along with their plethora of talented guards. He can affect the game on all fronts, scoring around the paint, defending the rim, and is a big threat to finish in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1587998' first='Noah' last='Schow'] Tenino -> Annie Wright

Schow has been a constant double-double threat at Tenino and will provide some added size to an Annie Wright team that lost in the 1A title game a year ago. While he'll help their game around the rim, he's also skilled along the perimeter. He can make plays off the bounce, adds some 3-point shooting to the mix, and has already played with guards [player_tooltip player_id='1450983' first='Jeremiah' last='Harshman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1450980' first='Martin' last='Kaupanger'] in AAU over the last two years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285990' first='EJ' last='Sommers'] PHH Prep -> Roosevelt

Sommers is a big man who can play by the rim and step out to knock down outside shots. He'll pair nicely with their other big man, [player_tooltip player_id='1984466' first='Anthony' last='Washington Jr.'] , who's more of a banger inside. Sommers should have a big impact in his first year in Washington and help Roosevelt compete at a high level in the Metro.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612213' first='Isaiah' last='Brown'] Elite Futures Prep -> West Seattle

Brown heads to West Seattle after missing last season with an injury. He's a potent scorer who thrives at creating looks off the dribble and has some explosive finishing ability at the rim. He should slot into the backcourt right away and provide a pretty athletic duo with [player_tooltip player_id='2173025' first='Alex' last='Pierce'] next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2205065' first='Peyton' last='Duong'] Cleveland -> West Seattle

The point guard plays with a good balance of scoring and playmaking and had a strong season last year at Cleveland. He'll be a key guy for the Wildcats who can get others involved, score in numerous ways around the paint, and space the floor from 3-point.

[player_tooltip player_id='1451026' first='Grant' last='Lanier'] Hargrave Military Academy -> Kennedy

It's been a while since I've gotten a good look at Lanier but he showed a lot of promise in his earlier years as a playmaker and scorer. In the little I saw of him at Hargrave he showed good hustle and awareness on the defensive end while looking physically a stronger player. He's still got the eye of a playmaker and should be a solid addition for the Lancers this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1451032' first='Jeremiah' last='White'] Rainier Beach -> Foster

He made his mark as a defensive stopper who can score around the paint and find the short passes in traffic last season. This year, he'll make the transition to being one of the go-to guys at Foster and he has the size and athleticism to be a real problem around the rim for them. He has the handle to create from the outside and should once again be a high-level defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2478557' first='Hunter' last='Carter'] Accelerated Prep -> Garfield

The former Annie Wright Gator is another player returning to Washington after spending time away. He's a combo guard with size who can rack up assists and finish with some real power and finesse at the rim. He's got a slick handle and has proven to be a tough cover 1v1 while having an astute awareness of what's going on around him. Look for Carter to be a big factor in the Metro and help the Bulldogs remain as one of the teams to beat in the 3A.
