Pierce has elite athleticism and has embraced the role of being West Seattle’s top scorer this season. He is a guy they can count on to create his own shot and get buckets when they need a spark. What has been really impressive is his shot-making in between 3-point range and the rim. His athleticism makes him a big threat at the rim, and he has in the gym range, but he’s taken advantage of some space in the midrange and has looked solid getting different looks in that area and filling out his scoring profile.

He caught my eye during the spring but has really taken off in his junior year at West Seattle. He can catch fire from deep, has good burst on the first step, and has the athleticism to finish above the rim. He’s a balanced player though and can make some impact plays defensively with steals and blocks.

I am really excited about this kid after seeing him compete in their first two games of the year. His West Seattle team has already played two tough teams in Woodinville and O’Dea, and Pierce has been a big bright spot so far. He’s a guy that can get downhill and has the athleticism to compete with a lot of players at the rim. Not only that, but he plays with energy and pace in every situation and has displayed some really nice consistency from 3-point range. Look out for him as West Seattle should have a lot more close games throughout the season.
