And now, on to the Stock-Risers…
A strong athlete, Bahr can take it to the hoop and finish through contact. He will undoubtedly have an expanded role for the Blugolds this coming season.
Highlights
Brone can score at all three levels and is a floor general at the point. He plays with passion and is a staunch defender.

Ellison is strong, decisive and has a bag from midrange and in. He put up 18.4 points and 9.6 rebounds per game last season.

Gunderson contributed over ten points per game in his freshman season for the Railroaders. He shot 44% from three in the process.

Hehli is on pace to eclipse 1000 points before the midway point of his senior season. He is a quick and active defender who can make life miserable for an opponent.

Devon Ihm
Ihm can shoot it from inside or out and averaged an impressive 9.4 rebounds per game in his sophomore campaign. He has a variety of post moves to round out his offensive skillset.
A true combo guard, Kowal has a solid handle and can score from all three levels in addition to locking down on defense. He has excellent court awareness and a high basketball IQ.

Cooper Lomas
Lomas uses his strength to attack the hoop and put up 17.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game last season. He will return as the Hornets’ leading scorer.
A long 6’3″ wing, Ludlum can splash a triple and attack driving lanes off the bounce. He is quick on defense and is active in passing lanes.

Michlig has a solid frame, is effective inside or out on both ends of the floor and attacks the glass. He shot 36% on 67 attempts from beyond the arc last season.

A 6’6 junior, Olson averaged 15.8 points per game for Glenwood City last season. He has a solid build and the athletic ability and handle to play on the perimeter.

Grady Poppy
Poppy has the potential to be one of the top names to know in the Driftless Region’s 2027 class. A 6’3″ shooting guard, he displays a balanced and strong skillset in all facets of the game.
In 2023-24, Roehm led all scorers on this Stock-Risers list with 21.6 points per game. He added an astonishing 14.2 rebounds per game as well as strong assists, steals and blocks numbers.
Highlights
A 6’7″ sophomore, Schmidgall will get your attention when you walk in the gym. He is a developing prospect who has shown the athletic ability and coordination to be a player to watch in upcoming seasons.

Servais is an active, confident sophomore who plays both ends of the court with tenacity. He has a good feel for the game and was a solid contributor for the Riverhawks last season.

Brody Tarman
Tarman is an impressive all-around athlete who puts his skills to work on the hardwood. He put up 8.6 points per game as a freshman and added solid stats in rebounding, assists and steals.
Utilizing his stout 6’6″ frame, Wagner will convert at a high percentage inside the paint and also showed the ability to hit shots from beyond the arc. He is a strong rim protector on the defensive end.

Ward is a long 6’7″ post player with good agility around the basket. He establishes solid position to leverage his height and length to secure 8.6 rebounds per game.
