Kon had an uncharacteristically off night from three, but didn’t let that stop him from contributing in a number of other ways to lead Wisconsin Lutheran to a big win. He utilized his length on the defensive end to help limit a D1 committed forward to just 6 points, all while putting up a game high 24 on the offensive end. Kon did a great job of posting up against smaller wings, and when his shot wasn’t falling he showed he can attack the rim with composure off the dribble. Never looked rushed and just found ways to maneuver around defenders for high percentage looks. Swatted a pair of shots and also pulled in a game high 8 rebounds.

The Duke commit is the top-rated player in the state and also ranked in the top 20 national depending on which site you research. He has to be choice 1A or choice 1B for most when expressing an opinion.

Why:rnBiggest name in the state, for the last couple of years, who will be going to one of the top universities in the country. A university that can propel a prospect into the NBA or at least a professional career. His high school career has been played at a high level and his teams have always been very competitive.

Why Not:rnEven though Kon’s game is something to be studied and emulated by younger players it can be said that part of his high profile has been built by his summer experience. He has performed at a high level on the biggest stage, Nike’s EYBL, which traditionally has some of the top players in the country. Does this take away in voters eyes or does this contribute to his profile? Do folks say it is only high school career or do they look at the complete game of this amazing prospect. One who plays the game in the complete possible way?
