DMVlive Day 1 part 1 standouts

Ireton wing [player_tooltip player_id='1782692' first='Ripp' last='Kodi']'s performance represented Ireton's overall game well. Ripp had 11 second-half points and was great on the glass. Ripp is an outstanding shooter and has defensive potential that will go on to the next level. At nothing else, Ripp will be an excellent 3 and D guy, if not more. He is skilled and has great size for a guard. He did great work in the paint and has a solid back-to-the-basket game. Khalib is crafty and made a few impressive moves. This game was low-scoring, especially early. Most of the offense from both of these teams came from one player. Pat put on an absolute show shooting the ball, knocking down 7 threes, and going a perfect 6/6 from the line. He had some nice takes to the rim as well. He scored 20 points efficiently and kept them in the game. I've watched Diego a couple of times before this, and his shooting ability always stands out to me. He has a smooth and quick release and uses his ball handling to create room to get his shots off. [player_tooltip player_id='1782591' first='Jasiah' last='Cannady'] was outstanding down the stretch of this game and had the game-winning free throws in overtime. I remember watching Jasiah at DMVlive two years ago, and his game has matured drastically. His ability as a shot creator is terrific, and he showed that. He hit a tough three to tie it late and a tough floater late in the game. Jasiah is a high-level shooter, and he is in a great spot. Cam attacked the rim and showed off his skill set. He is a good athlete, and at 6'7, he does a good job putting the ball on the floor and using it around the rim. I love Cam's motor skills and what he brings to the defensive. He has great footwork and was a difficult cover in the paint. He had a few nice moves, and at his size, he moves fluidly. Ashley can attack guys in transition and has skill for days when he gets to the rim. Ashley was also great on the offensive glass, collecting 5 offensive rebounds. I've watched him a few times before, and he always shows how well-rounded he is. Akbar showed off how good of a shooter he is, knocking down 4 threes. Akbar is a great passer and rebounder. Georgetown Prep won this game big, and Akbar was the best player on the court. He finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
