Expert Analysis
Van Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
I watched Fleming in action and though out the season, I do believe that he proved he is a for-sure next-level type prospect. Schools should be taking a look his way, as he is one that brings intrigue with his 6’7 frame, his overall feel and vision, his ability to score in many ways, and his overall presence on the court. Fleming displayed great touch and vision in finding teammates but can play/operate from multiple positions with his offensive tool box.

-The athleticism was on display in a narrow loss to the Cavaliers on New Cut Rd. Fleming had a well-timed slip from the short corner to the rim for an easy lob dunk, had a great recovery block in transition, cross the paint to block a shot and grab the defensive rebound, and ran the floor well both ways in transition. The release looks much smoother on his FTs, with his makes splashing through the dead center of the rim. The shooting touch translates out to C+S looks on the perimeter when he simply catches, turns, and shoots without any hesitation. If he can put together complete performances with consistent effort throughout the game, he can put himself onto college coaches’ radars on a good Panthers team.

had a really nice day. Cam does a great job putting the ball down and getting to the rim at his size, and he is a difficult matchup. He is a good defender and can knock down threes. Cam is more of a 3 at the next level and can be a very good two-way player. He finished with 17 points.

-Showed his potential as a W/F prospect in a win over Polaris Prep. Fleming started off the game with a jab and go from the wing that led to a 2-handed dunk, scored on a putback, blocked 2 shots in the same possession, and collected a steal within a 4-minute stretch. Collected a steal, hustled back in transition for a block, then went coast to coast to complete a poster dunk in transition. Fleming finished through contact, scored on another putback, and hit his FTs in a statement win. With a consistent motor and defensive focus, he can play his way into scholarship opportunities this season.

had a solid day for St. Frances. Cam attacked the rim and showed off his skill set. He is a good athlete, and at 6’7, he does a good job putting the ball on the floor and using it around the rim. I love Cam’s motor skills and what he brings to the defensive. He finished with 19 points.

If Fleming continues to play with this motor at both ends of the floor for St. Frances, his recruitment will spike after the HS live periods. Standing 6’7 with long arms and bounce, he projects as a versatile 3/4 tweener that can develop into a potent 3+D weapon if developed by the right coach. Footwork and conditioning have improved to make him a viable rebounding and finishing threat around the basket. A straight line driver, his handle will need to improve to get past defensive stunts but the spin move has been an effective way for him to get to the rim to score.
