Patrick Curtin

Expert Analysis

Pat Curtin was a scoring machine in both DMVlive sessions. He was, without a doubt, one of the best shooters at the event, and there may not have been a team that ran their offense through one player more than Glenelg ran theirs through Pat. Pat hit many tough shots and was as good as any offensive guard on both weekends. He makes my first team after averaging 28 PPG in the first session, shooting 51.7 from 3-point range, then following that up, averaging 26.0 PPG on 44% from the field.

Pat Curtin was one of the best scorers at DMVlive this past weekend and was probably the best shooter. Curtin is a shot creator from three and hit some tough shots all weekend. What impressed me the most about Curtin’s ability as a shooter was that when he was dribbling in either direction, he was still able to knock down shots. Pat finished the weekend hitting 15/29 threes in 3 games and shot 88% from the line.

Pat Curtin put on another show for Glenelg Country. His jump shot has been unstoppable, and he has been as good as anyone offensively through two games. Pat has an excellent feel for the game and is more than just an elite shooter. He finished Glenelg’s win with four made threes, 31 points, and 9 rebounds.

One of the best performances on the day was what Glenelg CG Pat Curtin did against Lanham Christian. This game was low-scoring, especially early. Most of the offense from both of these teams came from one player. Pat put on an absolute show shooting the ball, knocking down 7 threes, and going a perfect 6/6 from the line. He had some nice takes to the rim as well. Pat finished with 35 points.

-Curtin was easily the most impactful scorer that I’ve seen this week and possibly this season, scoring 29+ in both playoff games despite not only seeing the opposition’s top defender, but a slew of double teams coming from different positions and different spots on the floor. He can get into his shot going either direction, and with range–the latter which makes him immensely valuable at the next level. He plays with a moxie at both ends of the floor and is an incredibly-physical basketball player that seeks out the contact at either end whether he is on the road or playing in front of a home crowd. Hitting shots not only from outside the arc but also within it off of reverse pivots and ball fakes–Curtin’s bag is among the deepest in the area.
