The first live evaluation period of the spring has officially come and gone. It was a jam-packed weekend not just here in the Hoosier state, but around the country as Indiana-based teams took part in no fewer than a dozen different events. While we had boots on the ground coverage of five different events in the greater Indianapolis area, we also always keep our eyes and ears in any gym where Indiana teams are playing. Let's quickly run through, rapid fire style, all of the news and notes we came across from the live period.

***Editor's Note*** I will plan to circle back this evening and add to this article if more information from the weekend becomes available.

[program_tooltip program_id='2400093' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Tradition'] 17u turned in a perfect 4-0 weekend down in Bryan, Texas at the Adidas Gold event. [player_tooltip player_id='2056301' first='Braeden' last='Totton'] (Hamilton Southeastern H.S. 2025) had a big 22-point performance while Jeffersonville High School trio [player_tooltip player_id='1297093' first='Michael' last='Cooper'], [player_tooltip player_id='1373104' first='P.J.' last='Douglas'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1388408' first='Tre' last='Singleton'] all stood out as well. [player_tooltip player_id='2053658' first='Bryson' last='Cardinal'] (Guerin Catholic 2025) was another one with multiple strong showings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1297051' first='Jake' last='McGraw'] (Clinton Prairie H.S. 2025) led the [program_tooltip program_id='2305499' first='Hoosier' last='State Prospects'] 17u in scoring over the weekend at 18.0 points per game while they went 4-0 at the Midwest Jam Fest. [player_tooltip player_id='1539555' first='Silas' last='Blair'] (Triton Central H.S. 2025) and [player_tooltip player_id='1139221' first='Caleb' last='Wright'] (Sheridan H.S. 2025) were breakout performers as well.

[program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] Black 17u went 2-2 on the UA Rise circuit in Cincinnati with [player_tooltip player_id='1749047' first='Dereon' last='Truesdale'] (Bishop Luers 2025) and [player_tooltip player_id='1297102' first='Preston' last='Comer'] (Fort Wayne Wayne H.S. 2025) leading the way. [player_tooltip player_id='1525665' first='Jaiyre' last='Sampson'] (Fort Wayne H.S. 2025) came through with a buzzer-beating three-point shot in a double overtime victory on Saturday as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140331' first='Braylin' last='Fertil'] (Fort Wayne Snider H.S. 2027), [player_tooltip player_id='2140416' first='Mack' last='Welker'] (Homestead H.S. 2027), and [player_tooltip player_id='2140327' first='Branden' last='Sharpe'] (Brownsburg H.S. 2027) were among the standouts for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] Red 15u as they went 4-0 at the Grassroots Showdown. This is a well-balanced team with a lot of young talent. Welker contributed a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebound sin Sunday's championship game while he and Fertil led with 19 points in the first win of the weekend. Sharpe was consistent throughout including a team-high 15 points against a good 5Star team on Friday evening.

[program_tooltip program_id='2400041' first='Kyle' last='Guy Elite'] 16u had a strong showing while playing up at the 17u level in the Pangos Terrific 24. They did take a loss, but it was to Livon's EYBL squad in a hard fought game. 6'6" versatile forward [player_tooltip player_id='1560964' first='Edwin' last='Holmes'] (Princeton H.S. 2026) had 16 points and 13 rebounds in that contest. Then, he backed it up with 14 points and 8 rebounds in a win later in the day on Saturday. [player_tooltip player_id='1561685' first='Jedidiah' last='Minnett'] (Avon H.S. 2026) showcased his shot-making abilities throughout the weekend as well.

[program_tooltip program_id='2400000' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Indiana'] 17u also went 4-0 on the weekend at the Adidas Gold event in Texas to wrap up their spring season with a 16-1 record. 6'7" forward [player_tooltip player_id='1907680' first='Cole' last='Henry'] (South Ripley H.S. 2025) had an excellent weekend showcasing his offensive versatility while both [player_tooltip player_id='1297069' first='Justin' last='Kirby'] (Fishers H.S. 2025) and [player_tooltip player_id='1525679' first='Drew' last='Snively'] (Zionsville H.S. 2025) were very good as well.

It was yet another huge weekend for [player_tooltip player_id='1297068' first='Julius' last='Gizzi'] (New Palestine H.S. 2025) proving himself as one of the top scorers in the class. He averaged 30 points per game while shooting 14-24 from three-point range leading Legacy Ice - Gizzi 17u to a 4-0 run in pool play at the Midwest Jam Fest. [player_tooltip player_id='1297025' first='Fletcher' last='Cole'] (Paoli H.S. 2025), [player_tooltip player_id='1381459' first='Brode' last='Judge'] (Lapel H.S. 2025), and [player_tooltip player_id='1530978' first='Bode' last='Judge'] (Laepl H.S. 2025) all had good weekends for the team as well.

From the action out in Wichita, Kansas, [player_tooltip player_id='1296972' first='Alex' last='Couto'] (Carmel H.S. 2025), [player_tooltip player_id='1988138' first='Drew' last='Haffner'] (Westfield H.S. 2026), and [player_tooltip player_id='1561513' first='Noah' last='Smith'] (Plainfield H.S. 2026) were the names thrown around the most as top performers for the various [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] teams playing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1296979' first='Azavier' last='Robinson'] (Lawrence North H.S. 2025) had a plethora of coaches following him over the weekend for George Hill All Indy while [player_tooltip player_id='1297010' first='Damien' last='King'] (Anderson H.S. 2025) added a Northern Illinois offer for his strong play and [player_tooltip player_id='1297060' first='Jevon' last='Guess'] (Warren Central H.S. 2025) continued to capture the attention of some coaches in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1296984' first='Braylon' last='Mullins'] (Greenfield-Central H.S. 2025) caught rave reviews from the Adidas 3SSB Circuit as Indiana Elite 17u polished off another 4-0 weekend. Mullins earned a Missouri offer with his strong play and continues to be a national stock-riser that could see his recruitment jump to a blue blood type level this summer.

Several [program_tooltip program_id='2383637' first='Summit' last='City Elite'] teams took the floor between the Grassroots Showdown at Warren Central High School and Hoopin in the Summit in Fort Wayne. There were a handful of names that consistent came up as standouts from their various programs including [player_tooltip player_id='1297103' first='Qualyn' last='Clopton'] (Fort Wayne Snider H.S. 2025), Chris DelValle (Logansport H.S. 2025), Colt Kirkpatrick (Homeschool 2025), [player_tooltip player_id='2622228' first='Austin' last='Schlabach'] (Westview H.S. 2027), [player_tooltip player_id='2622239' first='Titus' last='Schultz'] (Huntington North H.S. 2027), and [player_tooltip player_id='1297075' first='Khalyn' last='Williams-Thomas'] (Fort Wayne Wayne H.S. 2025).
