Schlabach had a shot just rim out at the buzzer that would have won Westview the Class 2A State Championship. The athletic 6’3″ guard was named a Junior All-Star after his excellent season. He averaged 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game for the Warrior. His burst of athleticism when driving to the basket really jumps out when watching him play.

One of the top juniors in northern Indiana, Schlabach displayed his playmaking on Saturday in the Class 2A State Championship game. His attempt at a game-winner rolled off of the rim, but the talented guard finished with 13 points and 8 assists in the game.

The 6’1″ guard leads the team in both scoring (19.7 points per game) and adds 3.1 assists per game. He does a great job of staying in attack mode, consistently looking for his shot while also making the right reads. Schlabach shoots it well from the perimeter and is a constant threat getting into the lane, whether in isolation or operating out of ball screen action.

The junior point guard for the 24-1 Westview Warriors has a complete offensive game that showcases balance. He does a good job of staying in attack mode looking for his shot while making the right play and getting his teammates involved. He shoots it well from the perimeter while also being a threat getting in the lane either in isolation of operating out of a ball screen. Tall task in Regional against a quick and athletic Gary 21st Century team, but Schlabach will step up to the challenge.

Finishing with a game-high 22 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals, Schlabach made a convincing argument for Indiana Junior All-Star consideration on Friday night. The talented 6’1″ guard dominated the game in every facet for Westview as they defeated Concord 69-47. What Schlabach has done consistently this season for the 22-1 Warriors deserves plenty of praise.

The Westview Warriors have been on of the better teams in Class 2A this season and a lot of it comes down to the play of junior shooting guard Austin Schlabach Austin Schlabach 6'1" | SG Westview | 2027 State IN . Schlabach is very athletic, creates his own shot well from all three levels, and has some versatility when it comes to playing on or off of the ball. The pop of explosiveness that he possesses is what really separates him from other guards in Class 2A. You can watch him this week when Westview opens up Sectional play vs the winner of Churubusco and Eastside in Sectional 35.

Westview hasn’t lost since their second game of the season when they fell to Northridge, 68-56, on December 1st. Northridge is 17-1 on the season at the Class 4A level. The Warriors are also now 17-1, winners of 16 straight, after holding on to defeat Blackhawk Christian 59-58 on Saturday afternoon. Schlabach, a talented junior guard for Westview, scored 17 points to lead the way.

Schlabach continues to prove why we have him ranked as a Top 50 prospect in Indiana’s Class of 2027. He has had an excellent season for the Warriors and helped led them to a 60-50 win over a good Fairfield team on Thursday night. The 6’2″ junior guard scored 20 points as Westview, ranked in the Top 5 of Class 2A, moved to 10-1 and advanced to the semifinals of the NECC Tournament.
