Schlabach stepped up in a big way on Friday afternoon proving why he earned Indiana Junior All-Star honors during the high school season for Class 2A state runner-up Westview. The super athletic 6’2″ guard was excellent getting downhill to the rim, finishing at the end of his drives, and then finding open teammates when the defense started collapsing more aggressively. He scored 20 points to lead all scorers for LVL Up 17u.

Schlabach led Westview to a Class 2A state runner-up finish and was just seconds away from cutting down the nets. The do-it-all guard then had a great spring with LVL Up 17u proving himself against even higher levels of competition. He is a guard that can both play off of the ball or serve as the primary ball handler. His best skill may well be his passing ability. Schlabach projects as a Division II or high-level NAIA prospect and jumped from #38 to #24 in our prospect rankings.

To put it simple, he was one of the best pure playmakers in the entire gym during Charlie Hughes weekend. Super skilled getting himself paint touches and displayed the ability to dictate the pace of the game at times. Athletic guard that can do everything at a high level.

There came a point in the game between Westview and Columbus North that Schlabach simply decided to take over. The super athletic 6’2″ guard started to put his head down and win isolation matchups off of the dribble and then explode to finish up around the rim. Schlabach’s scoring chops were on display on Friday afternoon, including a smoother jump shot than he showed at times during the season, but it is his vision and passing ability that still might be his most impressive trait.

Fresh off of leading Westview to the Class 2A State Finals and earning Indiana Junior All-Star honors, Schlabach turned some head among college coaches in attendance at the Run N Slam. The 6’2″ guard is such a skilled passer while still showcasing his scoring chops off of the dribble as well. He is one of several talented future college players on LVL Up P32 17u.

Schlabach had a shot just rim out at the buzzer that would have won Westview the Class 2A State Championship. The athletic 6’3″ guard was named a Junior All-Star after his excellent season. He averaged 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game for the Warrior. His burst of athleticism when driving to the basket really jumps out when watching him play.

One of the top juniors in northern Indiana, Schlabach displayed his playmaking on Saturday in the Class 2A State Championship game. His attempt at a game-winner rolled off of the rim, but the talented guard finished with 13 points and 8 assists in the game.

The top player for the Westview Warriors on their run to the state finals has been breakout junior shooting guard Austin Schlabach Austin Schlabach 6'1" | SG Westview | 2027 State IN . The 6’1″ guard leads the team in both scoring (19.7 points per game) and adds 3.1 assists per game. He does a great job of staying in attack mode, consistently looking for his shot while also making the right reads. Schlabach shoots it well from the perimeter and is a constant threat getting into the lane, whether in isolation or operating out of ball screen action.

Schlabach continues to make a very strong case to be an Indiana Junior All-Star. The 6’2″ athletic junior guard scored 33 points on Saturday as Westview took down Gary 21st Century 63-59. Westview is now 25-1 on the season with Schlabach consistently leading them in the scoring column.

The junior point guard for the 24-1 Westview Warriors has a complete offensive game that showcases balance. He does a good job of staying in attack mode looking for his shot while making the right play and getting his teammates involved. He shoots it well from the perimeter while also being a threat getting in the lane either in isolation of operating out of a ball screen. Tall task in Regional against a quick and athletic Gary 21st Century team, but Schlabach will step up to the challenge.
