Held in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada, this game features a Local Girls game, a National Girls Game, a Local Boys game, a National Boys Game, a three point contest and a Dunk contest. The event routinely brings together the best of the best offering spectators a glimpse into the future stars of the sport. With its competitive atmosphere and elite level of play, the Balldawgs AS Game serves as a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and potential on a national stage, making it a must-see event for basketball enthusiasts and talent evaluators. While this year’s game brings down the curtain on the 2024 season, it’s never to early to look ahead. Let’s take a look at some of the 2025 players that could be hoisting Hardware in the 2025 game.
Three Point Contestants:
Lefty will be a dark horse candidate as shooting is one of the many skills the Swiss Army Knife wing has.
A volume shooter who managed to knock down 37% of his shots during the 2023-24 season.
Could it be a back to back showing for Boulder City guards? Pendleton looks to follow Roman Rose Roman Rose 6’2″ | SG Boulder City | 2024 State NV ‘s historic shooting performance at the event.
Highlights
Dunk Contest:
Fralin is a Power Dunker that had a few highlight flushes during the Venom Rankings Run. Look for him to bring that explosion and power to the contest.
Perfect platform for this high jumping, jaw dropping athlete. Gayle has the bounce, power and agility to win the contest.
Hutchison could be repping the small schools. The bouncy foward should get a shot to show his ups in next year’s event.
One of the best overall athlete’s in the state is going to be an exciting high flyer to watch during the Dunk contest.
Local AS Game
Saw Williams come out and support the 2024’s despite a foot injury, call it Karma, but could see the talented guard taking home Local game honors next year.
Rabb has the combination of size and skill, that usually does well during A.S contest. Dark Horse MVP candidate in next year’s A.S Game.
Perhaps it’s a Legacy thing, but Burns is another Longhorn lefty, capable of taking home MVP honors.
National Game
With his reclass, Gory will have the chance to play in two AS games. It worked for Jahki Howard, perhaps the second time will be the charm for Gory, and an MVP award.
If Shaw is playing, don’t be suprised to see the newly set scoring record challenged. The versatile scorer would love nothing better than to break the record in his high school Swan song.
Highlights
Staton may be out of All Star game appearances by the time next year goes around. If he does play, the bouncy Power 5 center would be one of the highest ranked local players to participate in the game next year.
