He was MVP in the BVAL this season. The 6’2 guard regularly showed his handles, and burst of speed going by defenders along the perimeter, and in transition using hard dribbles and a strong body to finish at the rim. He spent time up top running the teams offense, he worked in the post going up strong over bigger defenders. He has the speed, and foot work to defend multiple position. He rebounds.

He came full circle in his transformation from the forward to guard position at the high school level. He earned Player of the Year in the West Alameda County-Foothill League. He played a balance game showing his bounce and strength cutting and finishing around the rim. He put in countless hours working on his skills for the guard position. He’s shooting with confidence and using hard dribbles to attack from the perimeter, and making the extra pass.

He’s an aggressive court runner, hustling back and forth, he has lengthy strides and finishes strong in transition. He’s an active player in the post finishing around the rim after cutting and slashing. He’s improved his range, he can hit the paint jumper, and an occasional 3pts. He has length to defend the post, foot speed to stay with his man on the perimeter. He helps rebound.

He was an effective post player showing good footwork, passing and scoring from the high, low and mid-post. He has the body go up strong in traffic. He has lengthy arms, and good determination to get his rebounds. He showed us he can hit the 3pt shot as a trailer at the top, and stepping out on the perimeter at times. He has a frame to fill, and good fundamentals.

He really sharpened his overall guard skills this season. He did ball handling up top, and around the perimeter, facilitating in half-court sets. He opened up his game as a playmaker with good shooting, passing and decision making. He has a good jump shot from mid-range out past the 3pt line. He used his dribble to hit the paint jumper. He led his team in scoring 13.9ppg, 2nd in rebounds 5per.

He’s a 6’3 point guard with speed and quickness to go by defenders. He has excellent ball handling, a willing passer. He transferred from Salesian College Prep to expand his overall skills from the guard position. He has the ability to put points on the board in different ways, his 20ppg led the team. He’s fast and quick, able to stay with other fast ball handlers while defending.

He was a key big man for the Crusaders late season run to win the Section Title. He’s long, had good activity in the paint changing and going after blocks on defense. He’ll go after rebounds, getting his points on put backs. His offense showed some expansion, he had a good touch in the paint, he showed he can hit the 3ptr from the corners and the top on occasion.

Burden became one of the better prospect in NorCal standing 6’7 and above. He’s one of the sleepers in this class. He’s made steady improvements to his overall game, polishing up his fundamentals, shaping his body, getting faster, and shooting the basketball. He can score inside, while working along the perimeter passing putting up jump shots, and attacking the baseline.

He excelled as a combo guard, standing around 6’4 he showed quality handles, good moves to create for himself and others with good vision and willing to pass. He gets aggressive working off ball going hard with straight line dribbles attacking the basket from the top and along the baseline. He was good attacking in transition. He hit short jumpers, and a 3 every now and then. He defends hard, will take a charge.

A solid body guard who’s known mostly for his ability to defend, but showed good improvements on the offensive side of the ball. He’s a strong finisher off two feet in the paint. He’s a good ball handler and passer with limited turnovers, he fill the lanes in transitions, gets rebounds from the guard position. He’s improved his 3 point shot.

He’s a long prospect with good hops. He seems best in transition where he shows his speed getting up court looking for transition buckets sometimes lobs, dunks and put backs. He has made improvement to his game working along the perimeter with good drives into the paint and spotting up for 3’s along the perimeter. He’s a long prospect who’ll get rebounds, and defend away from the basket.
