Wheeler is having a breakout Summer, he’s been showing consistent guard play on both sides of the ball. He’s defending at a high level, using his foot speed, quick hands, lengthy arms and determination. He’s confident with the ball, quality handles with bursts to go by defenders to challenge bigs, and finish at the rim with toughness. He’s knocking down the mid-range, making solid passing around the court, and in transition. He’s trending up.

Wheeler is a mid-range specialist who knows how to get to his spots. He did a lot of damage on the court with his step back game from mid range and shot creating from 15-20. Wheeler possesses a smooth jumper which he can hit both spotting up and off the dribble. When he got to his spots, he hit some tough fall away jumpers and leaning shots which made it hard for defenders to alter. Wheeler also did a good job spotting up from 3 ball and also showed slashing ability. He is a fearless driver and attempted several poster dunks through the event.
