Jacob Canton Jacob Canton 6'2" | PG Rutgers Prep | 2027 State NJ , 6’2 Rutgers Prep
Canton headlines the list after a stellar debut season for the Argonauts. The 6’2 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and can finish through contact around the rim. Canton is more than just a slasher as he has a nice release on his jumper and makes opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He is a good rebounder and pushes the tempo well in transition. Canton is a talented guard prospect who will be a name to watch in the Garden State over the next couple of years.
Micah Gordon Micah Gordon 5'10" | PG Plainfield | 2027 State NJ , 5’9 Plainfield
Gordon made plays all season long for the Cardinals as he helped lead them to the sectional final. The 5’9 guard has a tight handle, which he uses to get into the lane and can finish in a variety of ways around the basket. Gordon has a clean release on his jumper and can get hot from distance. He can find his open teammates in the backcourt and uses his quick hands to get steals. Gordon is an electric guard prospect who makes plays with the ball in his hands and has a bright varsity career in front of him.
Ayyub Wilson Ayyub Wilson 6'0" | PG Arts | 2027 State NJ , 6’0 Arts
Wilson played a big role for the Jaguars this season as he helped them to their first ever sectional title. The 6’0 guard plays with composure on the ball as he rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure and finds his teammates in the halfcourt. Wilson uses his handle to beat his defender off the bounce and can score in the mid-range. He finishes nicely around the basket and is a good on-ball defender. Wilson is a crafty guard prospect who knows how to get into the lane and make plays.
Anthony Mauro Anthony Mauro 6'0" | PG College Achieve | 2027 State NJ , 6’0 College Achieve
Mauro had a strong debut varsity season for the Knights as he helped them to the Group 1 title. The 6’0 lefty has a smooth shooting stroke and sets his feet before he shoots. Mauro does more than just shoot as he can also get into the paint off the dribble and finishes strong around the rim. He is an underrated passer and plays with good instincts on the defensive end. Mauro will have the ball in his hands more over the course of his varsity career, which will help his stock in a big way.
Anthony Gonzalez Anthony Gonzalez 6'1" | PG Union City | 2027 State NJ , 6’0 Union City
Gonzalez has the ability to play on and off the ball, which makes him an intriguing prospect to watch. The 6’0 guard wastes little motion in his jumper and can knock down jumpers in bunches. Gonzalez has a good handle, which he uses to get to the rim and can finish in a variety of ways around the rim. He is an underrated passer and uses his length to make plays on the defensive end. Gonzalez is a scoring, lead guard whose ability to score inside and out will help his development over the course of the next couple of months.
