Billy Richmond III

Expert Analysis

Richmond III is a two-way player filled with a lot of athleticism that he uses to his advantage. At 6’6″ he can play and guard multiple positions throughout a game. The lefty likes to attack the rim whenever he can using his athleticism to sky over everyone else for the throwdown. Richmond III has a smooth jumper and gets good height on his shot making it difficult for defenders to get on a hand up. On defense, he will try and block every shot that he possibly can sending multiple shots off the backboard.

In the last game of the night, Nj Scholars took down Team Durant in a competitive contest. Richmond came out hot early with a dunk that he took off super far away from the rim and extended to throw down and get the crowd going. After hitting a couple mid-range jumpers including a flyby, Richmond got downhill to the paint and finished with a quick lefty layup. A powerful wing guard athlete who can get hot from the outside, there’s a lot of upside to Richmond’s game down the road.

Richmond is a super long and athletic wing with a smooth left-handed jump and excellent finishing ability at the end of his drives. The 6’6″ 4-star guard plays above the rim, is an elite rebounder from the perimeter, and showcases the ability to knife through the defense off of the bounce both in transition and while operating in the half court. He put up back-to-back 21 point performances for the NJ Scholars on Sunday while averaging 8 rebounds on the day as well.
