Below is a review of five “must see” games taking place in southeastern Pennsylvania this week.

Thurs., February 29th…Reading at Cumberland Valley: This District 3-6A semifinal contest pits the defending District 3-6A champions (Reading) against the newly minted Mid-Penn Conference champions (Cumberland Valley). Reading's quest to repeat as district champions will be spearheaded by the guard tandem of Yadiel Cruz and [player_tooltip player_id='1195389' first='Nick' last='Chapman']. Reading's three guard lineup also contains freshman sensation [player_tooltip player_id='2427273' first='Jeremiah' last='Camara']. Supporting that trio is multi-skilled wing [player_tooltip player_id='2247350' first='Weshly' last='Rosario']. Cumberland Valley is led by lefty, point-forward prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2391364' first='Nolan' last='Buzalka'] (2025) and slasher wing [player_tooltip player_id='1454321' first='Patrick' last='O'Brien']. For CV, you will also want to keep an eye on shooting guard JJ Lebo. Those three comprise a CV offense that is in constant t motion and thus difficult to slow down. Tipoff is at 7:00PM.

Thurs., February 29th…Chester at Lower Merion: This year's District 1-6A title game features two of the most storied programs in SEPA. Chester boasts the senior trio of Dante Atkinson-Payne, [player_tooltip player_id='1848489' first='Dominic' last='Toy'] (UConn football commit) and Calvin Williams. Atkinson-Payne is a skilled three-level scoring machine. 6'5” athletes Toy and Williams provide interior and transition point production for Chester. The Harris twins (Daron and Jalen) provide a major spark off Chester's bench. LM has racked up a 25-1 record and captured the Central League title behind a lineup of four guard prospects and power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1123894' first='Jayden' last='Robinson']. Combo guard wing [player_tooltip player_id='1850321' first='John' last='Mobley'] (15.6 ppg.), shooting guard Adam Herrenkohl (14.5 ppg.), combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2120393' first='Owen' last='McCabe'] (15 ppg.) and point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2699527' first='Carson' last='Kasmer'] (11.5 ppg.) combine to form a balanced perimeter attack that can get out in transition and drain threes. Tipoff is at 7:00PM

Thurs., February 29th…Upper Dublin vs. Unionville: UD (19-3) rolls into the District 1-5A championship game having won twelve straight games. A great deal of that success is thanks to the efforts of shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1269299' first='Ryan' last='Mulroy'], floor general [player_tooltip player_id='1888851' first='Kobe' last='Bazemore'], point-forward [player_tooltip player_id='2047682' first='Idris' last='Rines'] (6'4′, 200 lbs.) and wing Brady Fogle. Unionville (22-3) returns to the District 1-5A title game for the second straight year. This time they plan to go home with the district hardware. Senior returners Charlie Kammeier, [player_tooltip player_id='1848627' first='James' last='Anderson'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1850283' first='Ryan' last='Brown'] as well as 2026 stretch-4 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1493066' first='James' last='Brenner'] will lead ‘Ville's charge. Unionville's [player_tooltip player_id='2383329' first='Nick' last='Diehl'] (6'6”; SF) is an under the radar prospect to watch in this game. Tipoff is at 7:00PM.

Fri., March 1st…Devon Prep vs. Math, Civics & Sciences: Devon Prep point-forward Zane Conlan (17 ppg. & 8.7 rpg.) has been impressive all season and was recently names as a 2nd Team All-PCL selection. Running with Conlan is athletic small forward prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1874206' first='Reece' last='Craft'] (12 ppg. & 6 rpg.), scoring combo-guard [player_tooltip player_id='1865353' first='Mason' last='Thear'] (8 ppg.) and slasher wing [player_tooltip player_id='1990791' first='Ben' last='Costello'] (Washington College commit). The MCS lineup is no joke either. The backcourt trio of point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1406765' first='Milak' last='Myatt'], shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2536679' first='Alantay' last='Dawson'] and combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1576724' first='Zion' last='Robinson'] will present serious matchup issues for DP. Plus, the MCS roster features impact 2027 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2427336' first='Rahkiy' last='Mason']. Tipoff is at 6:00PM at West Philadelphia HS.

Sat., March 2nd…Archbishop Ryan vs. Imhotep Charter: Ryan will have to quickly recover from their dramatic PCL title game loss because the District 12-5A championship game awaits. Standout big man [player_tooltip player_id='1213553' first='Thomas' last='Sorber'] (PCL Co-MVP; Georgetown commit) and nationally ranked shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1192641' first='Darren' last='Williams'] (FGCU) should be able to handle that challenge. Those two stars will get tremendous support from shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1848533' first='Ryan' last='Everett'] and wing [player_tooltip player_id='1173991' first='Jaden' last='Murray']. Imhotep, the PPL champions, is led by electric combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1281786' first='Ahmad' last='Nowell'] (UConn commit). Nowell has posted several 30+ point games this season and is a candidate for Philly POY. 6'7” hybrid-forward [player_tooltip player_id='1406792' first='Zaahir' last='Muhammad-Gray'] has experienced his breakout season and now has the attention of college coaches. [player_tooltip player_id='1477721' first='Ma'Kye' last='Taylor'] (Albany commit), [player_tooltip player_id='2047550' first='Carnell' last='Henderson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1173985' first='Jeremiah' last='White'] will be major contributors as well. Recently 2027 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2407095' first='Zion' last='Green'] has played extremely well too…Tipoff is at 1:00PM at Lincoln HS.
