The skilled scorer from the 918 has crossed the 1500 points mark for his high school career, and that’s a whole lot of buckets. Fittingly, he gets them in just about every way possible. And he’s scored while consistently being the focal point of the opposing defense. At one point this year he was even triangle and two-d. Yes, a team dedicated two defenders and chose to play 3 on 4, because Lewis is that much of a scoring threat.
In one of the biggest stages to showcase his talent at the Tournament of Champions this year, the senior put on an absolute clinic with an explosive third quarter against Metro Christian. Deep threes, floaters and even a dash of playmaking, it was one of his very best performances against quality competition. Lewis holds offers from many of the JuCos in Oklahoma and around the region, because they too recognize the importance his scoring brings.

The southeast Oklahoma standout claimed a Class A State Title last year with an impressive three day scoring performance at the Big House. He’s a quick athlete, capable of big time highlights in transition and often looks effortless with the way he creates separation off the dribble for jumpers. Along with his State Championship ring, Dill has broke into rare air as a member of the 2,000 career points club. From the big numbers against small school competition, to producing at the AAU level it’s obvious that his silky smooth scoring style and explosive athleticism translates to the next level.
Earlier this month, he committed to Southeastern Oklahoma State University. But before he makes the short trip from Caddo to Durant, he’s looking to make a return trip to the Big House and defend his Class A crown. Tonight is a chance for him to punch his ticket to OKC, with a match up against Wright City with an Area Championship on the line. In last year’s Area Championship, Dill torched the nets with 44 points. Could a similar performance be in line as he looks to end his high school career with a bang?
It makes sense that with Breenan Burns (Bethany 2020) and Jett Sternberg (Kingfisher 2019) on the current roster that Kelly Green and the staff at Southeastern Oklahoma State trusts small school scorers in Oklahoma to produce at the D2 level. Because along with 2,000 point scorer DJ Dill DJ Dill 6’2″ | CG Caddo | 2024 State OK above, they have locked in 2,000 point scorer Wilkerson.
The senior forward fits into modern basketball thanks to a skilled face up and shooting game that blends well with his workman like mentality around the basket. Sure he’s going to grab boards like a mad man, even punch home powerful dunks when given a lane. But he will also make opponents pay from deep, while having the skill to get off shots against taller or quicker foes. Wilkerson made a State Tournament appearance as a sophomore at his previous school Silo, while this year he has helped Madil to a top 10 ranking in 4A. Which has given them a strong position to navigate through Area IV and earn the opportunity to finish his high school career under the bright lights of the Big House.
The recent Seminole State community college commitment has often been praised these last two years for the continual growth of his all around game. He’s stepped up his game as a defender and taking more of a playmaking responsibility for 6A contenders Choctaw. But make no mistake, Valentine entered high school as a bucket and is leaving high school as a bucket. The senior is just as likely to rattle off back to back threes from deep, or cut through traffic and hit a sweet floater. His crowning achievement for Choctaw came in the 6A quarterfinals last year, where in overtime he drilled a three to tie it. Then seconds later won the game with a steal and score. More iconic moments are possible as Choctaw looks to make another run to the Class 6A State Tournament run.

After growing up playing youth basketball in Oklahoma, Adamson has returned for his senior season with first year prep program Grind Prep. That has put him on a national schedule and a lot of games in Texas, but when “Los” has played in Oklahoma he’s proven his scoring bonafides with his skilled scoring. He can hit in the mid-range, often looking confident coming off screens, or quick 1-2 dribble moves with little wasted motion. At the rim, he plays at own his pace, with good body control and sneaky hangtime while also using his long arms to get off shots in traffic. As the lanky senior continues to grow into his frame and start to put on good college weight, it’s easy to see how his advance skillset can translate to the next level.

Since stepping into a bigger role as a sophomore, Hopkins has been a bowling ball going downhill and a highlight reel in translation. He made good strides as a jump shooter (especially in the mid-range) as a junior and now as a senior it looks like his game has fully come together for the 5A contending Titans. His recent clutch fourth quarter performance against district rivals Crossings was one of the best examples of his development. The senior knocked down threes and would not be denied at the rim in a dramatic rally, that featured a game winning “grown man” take in the final minute from Hopkins. His explosiveness and strength allows him to initiate contact at the rim and finish through taller and bigger players.
The senior is a master at playing at his own pace, with a smooth game that has carved up teams this year. MacCollister has a slippery way of navigating inside, with a soft shooting touch that allows him to hit contested floaters against bigger teams. Even when playing a faster paced team like Millwood, he rarely looked bothered. As he has the ability to stop quickly and allow any defense that is overpaying him to glide by. Along with the stoppping ability, he has good control on pumpfakes and ball fakes to add to his ability to create space for himself. Ada is currently trying to navigate through the consolation side of a tough 4A area, and the senior is continuing to show the clutch gene. As a big late three pointer against a fellow ranked squad, Byng, kept their season alive yesterday.

One of the athletic scoring hidden gems in Oklahoma, Edwards recently hit the 1,000 career points scoring mark. The senior accomplished this feat even while being limited due to injuries as a junior. He’s developed into an explosive finisher, with the ability to get off the floor quick and maintain good hangtime. Along with the vertical explosiveness, he’s fast and shifty which makes him a transition terror and capable of carving up defenses in the halfcourt as well. Mix in being a three point threat, and Edwards is a prospect who could surprise at the small college level with the upside to have a strong career.
