Win State. Again. It would be a third state title for the Falcons and add to their State Record of 19 titles. With four of them coming in the last five years. While the roster has changed, there is still the raw talent there for them to back in the Coliseum come March.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It will once again start in the backcourt for Millwood. [player_tooltip player_id='2400905' first='Marcus' last='Lee'] is expected to be the ring leader. "Champ" is one of the tougher scorers in the 405. Can play set up man a bit but he really thrives with serving up tough buckets. Another newcomer to the Wood is quick and disruptive junior guard Deshawn Stevenson. With more hungry names, it will be interesting to track how the Wood gels together and defends their crown.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>The most competitive State Title Race in the state? </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Roland</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last year's runner ups. Roland return one of the best backcourt duos in Class 3A. With the electric combo of junior [player_tooltip player_id='2398309' first='Damonte' last='Owens'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2140760' first='Kade' last='Shook']. Both are two of the top passers in Oklahoma, with Owens being a player capable of going for 40 on any given night. The experience of back to back State Tournament appearances, including a silver ball should help to fuel another trip to OKC. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cascia Hall</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The likely preseason favorites, Cascia has moved down after winning Class 4A. They bring with them three of the top seniors in the state, [player_tooltip player_id='2323191' first='Memphis' last='Duffie'], [player_tooltip player_id='2140733' first='Dallas' last='Lowe'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2327107' first='Roman' last='Poindexter']. Duffie and Lowe have been difference makers since their freshman year. With Duffie being a sniper form deep and has developed into a rugged all around guard. Lowe has a quick first step and is one of the most explosive scorers in the state. While Poindexter has rapidly grown and improved into one of Oklahoma's best two way difference makers. Add in 6'6 junior [player_tooltip player_id='3664977' first='Forward' last=''] [player_tooltip player_id='2550799' first='Hunter' last='Rowland'] and the deck is stacked for the Commandos to add to their trophy case.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Crossings Christian</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Since 2020, the Knights have been one of the top private school programs in Oklahoma. However last season they missed the State Tournament for the first time since 2019. Now down in 3A, they're looking to start a new streak with an upperclassman heavy team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Leading the way are two outstanding seniors including the always improving 6 foot 6 swing man [player_tooltip player_id='2382094' first='Bo' last='Barber']. He can flat out shoot it from deep and has some of the most exciting dunks in Oklahoma. Athletic senior combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140790' first='Rylen' last='Sykes'] is a hard nosed tone setter on both ends of the court. Fellow senior Braxton Veatch emerged last year and adds more shooting and experience. Rounding out their rock solid starting five are two outstanding juniors. Slade Black an athletic above the rim player, who also can stretch floor. While Beckett Buckingham has outstanding vision and feel from the point guard spot. And is a sneaky good scorer. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dale</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>How about a third defending State Champion in Class 3A? How about a school that has won five straight State Titles? That's what Dale is bringing to the table. They were bumped up for ADM reasons as the small town school district has grown. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The move to 3A is fitting to symbolize a new era. As Dale has finally graduated the last Forsythe. However the cupboard is not bare, as they return a key senior trio. [player_tooltip player_id='3664977' first='Forward' last=''] Kelden Meeley, guards [player_tooltip player_id='2831204' first='Jeremiah' last='Skaggs'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2875668' first='Tryson' last='Nash'] were all big contributors on last year's title team. And the way they played together in June, indicates they are up for the challenge of leading Dale.
