Tuesday Night Match-Up and Predictions!

There are some creative and fun match-ups tonight on the Minnesota basketball scene. We have a look at those contests now with match-ups and a prediction.   4AAAA Hopkins at Benilde-St. Margaret's   [player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] vs Ron Lee. Moore is the toughest non senior in the state to stop off the dribble in Minnesota and Lee is one of the better on-ball pressure defenders out there. This could be a speedy, physical, fun battle within the game.   [player_tooltip player_id='1574212' first='Anthony' last='Smith'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1572691' first='Jaleel' last='Donley']. A pair of top ten juniors that can create shots for themselves with the best in the state: Smith with his crafty handle and shiftiness, Donley with his explosiveness and lift. Former teammates that will be a fun battle to watch.   Davie Hart vs [player_tooltip player_id='1284155' first='Jayden' last='Daisy']. The third guard match-up is the physical senior Daisy and the athletic transition terror junior, Davie Hart. Different players that are scoring in double figures, Daisy is the stronger and more experienced.   [player_tooltip player_id='1595734' first='JJ' last='Semanko'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1574215' first='Abu' last='Keita']. Semanko is having a great season shooting the ball and he's finding other ways to score. If BSM is to win they will need Keita, a good defender, to limit what Semanko does and score some himself.   Julius Ellis vs [player_tooltip player_id='1572689' first='Jalen' last='Wilson']. Wilson is one of the elite post players in the state of Minnesota and Hopkins really doesn't have much for post players outside of Ellis who is an inexperienced sophomore. Ellis is big, strong post at 6'6 but Wilson is more experienced and will give his team a nice edge if this team gets him the right touches. Wilson is scoring 25 points a game.   Prediction: Hopkins by seven,     Edina at 2AAAA Park Center   [player_tooltip player_id='1284163' first='Josiah' last='Coleman'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1172835' first='Casmir' last='Chavis']. Chavis is the quite explosive, quite fast, quite talented Mr. Basketball headlining Park Center guard. Coleman is a player that has a really good run at Edina since his transfer. Both can create, both can score.   [player_tooltip player_id='1296152' first='Waylon' last='Erlandson'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1452542' first='Ari' last='Gooch']. Erlandson is athletic defender that actively scores 4-5 a game, Gooch is an explosive two guard that scores 5-6 times a game.   Billy DeMars vs [player_tooltip player_id='1549538' first='Jackson' last='Fowlkes']. A couple shooters that these teams will have to locate, DeMars is scoring 7/8 a game and Fowlkes is scoring 20 plus a contest.   [player_tooltip player_id='1574213' first='Daniel' last='Molhoek'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1284106' first='Chiang' last='Ring']. The bigs. Ring is the senior shot blocking lob finisher at 6'9, Molhoek is a face up and back to the basket scoring junior at 6'7.   Prediction. Park Center takes a strong effort from Edina but then pulls out by ten late.     Waconia at DeLaSalle   William Kirsch vs [player_tooltip player_id='2126102' first='Jaeden' last='Udean']. The two young talented guards are scoring in that 14 to 15 points a game range right now. Kirsch does the handling and scoring, Udean is getting better and better each game.   [player_tooltip player_id='1969343' first='Gavin' last='Olson'] vs DeVon Irvin. The workers that score a dozen a game, that defend, that can shoot it, and do some of everything. Both of them are guys coaches love to have.   [player_tooltip player_id='1434056' first='Jackson' last='Hayes'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='2365712' first='Ray' last='James Jr.'] Hayes leads the Cats in scoring and is coming off a great game against Eden Prairie. James is scoring a dozen a night and is the lone big to defend Hayes.   Prediction. I think De needs this game and I think they pull it out by a couple baskets in a slugfest.     5AA Esko at St. Cloud Tech   [player_tooltip player_id='2093687' first='Makoi' last='Perich'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1284214' first='Tameron' last='Ferguson']. Perich, the elite future Gopher safety who just earned MVP of the All American Football All Game, is off to a heck of a start and we are starting to talk Mr. Basketball with him. Ferguson is coming off of two 40+ point games and is already in that conversation. Should be fun.   [player_tooltip player_id='2375115' first='Braedyn' last='Male'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1293963' first='Mekhi' last='Edwards']. Male is another Esko football talent coming off a good year. He was also one of the most improved posts in Minnesota last year. Male is now a 6'6 senior and has his toughest test because Edwards is big, strong, agile, has a great feel and a great touch. Should be fun. If this is online it's a must watch game.   Prediction. I have no idea. Esko is a team I need to watch to have a clue on how to predict as I have not seen them play in a long time. I will say Esko - who has one loss - by a basket based on the records of these teams.     4AA Albany at Osakis   [player_tooltip player_id='1286547' first='Sam' last='Hondl'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1284168' first='Kyle' last='Mages']. Hondl and Mages are agile forwards that are strong enough to do stuff in the paint but also skilled enough to score in many ways. Hondl is three inches taller, Mages is one year older.   Prediction. Albany needs a win here but is going into a tough place. I say Albany by five.
