Having a huge year as a scorer, McClure is one of the most skilled guards in central Ohio. Really able to create his own shot and use his handle to create separation from the defender, McClure is also a rhythm shot maker off the bounce. Definitely more of a combo guard than a natural point guard, I’ll be curious to see McClure on the grassroots level when he’s surrounded by more talented teammates. With his diverse offensive game, McClure will be getting scholarship looks this spring and summer when Division II and NAIA programs start to prioritize the 2025 class.
An old school type of point guard, Siegfried has impacted winning at both the grassroots and high school level. Really gets after you defensively and applies ball pressure to opposing ball handlers. A good shooter from the outside, Siegfried doesn’t need a lot of field goal attempts to make a big impact on the game. Louisville has been one of the top teams in northeast Ohio and their only loss has come on the road to Saint Ignatius. With Siegfried running the show, the Leopards have one of the toughest offenses to stop in northeast Ohio.

Newark was a team that I wasn’t sure how they would be this season after graduating Grant Burkholder from a district title winning squad. With Steele Meister Steele Meister 6’4″ | PF Newark | 2024 State OH dominating in the paint and the growth of Morris, Newark is once again near the top of the central Ohio hierarchy. Morris has taken a leap athletically and continues to shoot the ball at a high level. The obvious jump he took from Sophomore to Junior season is encouraging for where he’ll be a year from now. This is a name regional college programs will really get to know this spring and summer.
Westerville South has played a very tough schedule this season and with an inexperienced team, it’s been on their 2025 core to step up. Hodges is one of those players as he’s a very athletic guard who we caught on the Prep Hoops Circuit at a couple tournaments with Ohio United. Heading into the new year, Hodges scored a career high 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a win over Harvest Prep. Look for Hodges to try and continue this upwards trend as the Wildcats look to gear up for another playoff push.

A teammate with Hodges with Ohio United last summer, Foster and Kaden Haywood Kaden Haywood 6’4″ | SF Dublin Scioto | 2024 State OH have helped lead Dublin Scioto to one of their best seasons in recent memory. With an 8-2 record and their only losses coming to Westerville South and Delaware Hayes, Scioto has been impressive with wins over Dublin Jerome and Worthington Kilbourne to name a pair. Foster has been consistent this season and we recently praised his efforts at the Harvest Prep Holdiay Hoopfest. Click here to read that profile.
