Hodges has an edge of competitiveness that I love to watch. I watched this kid play at 9am on Saturday and he had a ton of energy. He was constantly talking to his teammates and showed his passion for the game. He is a really good slasher with some good length. He showed good athleticism against the competition this weekend. Fun to watch Hodges play this weekend.

Westerville South has played a very tough schedule this season and with an inexperienced team, it’s been on their 2025 core to step up. Hodges is one of those players as he’s a very athletic guard who we caught on the Prep Hoops Circuit at a couple tournaments with Ohio United. Heading into the new year, Hodges scored a career high 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a win over Harvest Prep. Look for Hodges to try and continue this upwards trend as the Wildcats look to gear up for another playoff push.

Hodges got the game started on a hot foot. He came out of the gates with a lot of energy and in attack mode. He has sneaky-good athleticism and showed that by attempting a half-court dunk. He has good length which makes him an excellent defender. A dangerous guard in the open court, Hodges brings an athletic spark to the Wildcats.

The first of two Ohio United guards on this article, Hodges is an impressive athlete who threw down some impressive dunks this summer that certainly caught my eye. Explosive when he gets a head of steam in transition, Hodges can jump out the gym. With his athleticism, Hodges also gets after it defensively from the point of attack. Biggest development that Hodges can make is improving as a ball handler to allow him to grow into being a point guard. He’s already shown flashes of breaking the defense down, if he can do that more consistently he will raise his stock this winter.
