Kielmeyer has battled injuries which has kept him off the hardwood for a while but he’s back on the gridiron making plays for Westerville South. The Northwestern commit has a great frame and moves well for his size, his soft hands also translate to the gridiron. Good to see Kielmeyer on the field making plays after seeing him out injured in the past.

Nothing excites the bench more than a charge and few players in Ohio take as many as Kielmeyer does. A high IQ defender, Keilmeyer understands when guards are out of control and is unselfish in sacrificing his body for his team. On the offensive end, Kielmeyer can be a play finisher as he has soft hands and the size to score in the paint. Developing chemistry with

If there were player badges for high school players, Kielmeyer would have the charge card at the highest level it can go. A rare skill for a big of his age, Kielmeyer understands what drivers want to do with the ball and slides over to sacrifice his body and cause a turnover. Seems to have hit a growth spurt recently, Kielmeyer is now every bit of 6’6 and pushing 6’7. With his motor around the rim, Kielmeyer gets some easy buckets with his athleticism and size. I’m expecting a big year at Westerville South and his coaches certainly will love the charges he takes during the high school season.

Kielmeyer is a guy who just competes on both ends and his motor stands out against other forwards. Another aspect of his game that I love is his unselfishness to give up his body and take a charge. With his size and offensive rebounding ability, Kielmeyer gets some easy buckets just off playing harder than his counterparts. Gaining valuable chemistry with star

Kielmeyer has a ton of potential. He is only a sophomore that is listed as 6’6, with wide shoulders, a long wingspan and is coordinated. He checks off a lot of boxes you want a big to check off. I like how focused he was on doing the small thing like posting hard, running the floor, boxing out, and he took a charge. He attempted a lot of charges. Shows really good anticipation and the willingness to take a hit which is very important for a big kid. He never shot the ball but during warmups, it looks good. His ability to finish with his left is in question but he is very strong with his right. I believe the ability to finish on both sides will come for him.
