Vera recently earned an offer from Shaw University as he continues to show off his improved game in the Northwood Temple Academy backcourt. His stock continues to rise in the NCISAA ranks as he’s producing 21.7 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 3.7 APG and 1.6 SPG as the Eagles are 4-0 in the Sandhills Conference and playing a much better brand of basketball. Vera is a 6-foot-3 prospect who’s shown he can operate at either guard role and shoot with efficiency. He’s shooting 37 percent from 3-point land and 63 percent from the field this season. He’s slowly becoming a target for DII programs in the region.

Smith is a name that’s growing on the PH radar out of Burlington Christian Academy this season. He’s a big guard at 6-foot-5 who’s shown he can operate on the playmaking and rebounding front as well as scoring and defending. He’s averaging 19.2 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 2.2 APG and 1.3 SPG on 52 percent shooting from the field. He’s a name that also takes great pride in playing on the defensive end and it should show by the end of his career with the Royals.

Slay is another big guard prospect to keep an eye on in the NCISAA ranks at Carmel Christian School. They’re hovering above .500 this season given new leadership on the sidelines, but Slay has managed to come into his own in his junior year, posting 17.6 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 3.8 APG and 1.1 SPG on 47 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent from deep. He’s grown tremendously after appearing with Team Curry on the UA scene this past grassroots cycle and starting to draw college interest from DI and DII programs in the region.

Brown is a prospect at Trinity Christian School in the Fayetteville area who’s turning heads with his overall production on the floor. He’s producing 13.6 PPG, 3.0 APG, 2.3 RPG and 1.4 SPG on 44 percent shooting from the floor and 34 percent from behind the arc. He’s really improved on his overall strength and conditioning and it’s shown as he’s taken over in his head-to-head matchups at the lead guard spot over the past few months. He’s a prospect for DI and DII programs in the region to get to know as he continues to show off what he can do.
